Trouble chases sinners, while blessings reward the righteous.
Proverbs 13:21 NLT
Confidence in ourselves will only get us so far…

Without roots penetrating into sustaining soil, the plant cannot draw nourishment or withstand stress. Similarly, faith that lacks depth in God’s truth cannot survive when external pressure arrives. Rootedness determines resilience that withstands the heat of opposition and the drought of difficulty.
“For by thee, I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall!” psalm 18:29

Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers.
Psalm 1:1

I hope all the racists and mockers know they are to blame. The public humiliation was so severe! This world is wicked.
Not everyone coming to shake your hand is coming to shake your hand in friendship.
There are some people who want what you have. Want to sit where you sit.
Stand where u stand.
They want the mantle God put on you.
They want your life. They are not looking at you with respect, but disdain, and they think in their mind they are called to call out your flaws.
In 2 Samuel 20:1-2 there is a name for such people; “worthless and wicked”
“You have to be bold in a world that doesn’t want you to be”
