I need to practice a lot more, but here I am, unedited.

This weekend I went to Clapham Common and stumbled into something I didn’t expect at all.

A group was doing acrobatics, laughing, spotting each other, just creating this really open, welcoming space… and I had to give it a go!

It’s funny how quickly you realise the line between fear and trust isn’t that wide. Every little move had me hesitating, then letting go a bit more, trusting the people around me, and eventually trusting myself too.

What I loved most was the vibe. Everyone was genuinely looking out for each other, no ego, no rush. Just people trying things, being supported, and somehow no one getting hurt despite some pretty impressive attempts.

I left feeling lighter than when I arrived. A bit braver too. Funny how the unplanned stuff tends to stick with you the most.

Have you ever said yes to something that made you slightly nervous… and ended up glad you did?

I’ve been practising Chandra Namaskar this week to celebrate the beautiful full moon, Guru Purnima. 🌕

I always find this sequence so calming. It reminds me to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and move with awareness instead of rushing through life.

You don’t need a long practice every day.

A few mindful minutes, done regularly, can make a real difference to how you feel.

If you’d like to experience yoga in nature, there are still a few places left for next week’s Hiking Yoga Workshop in Westgate.

Happy Guru Purnima. May your practice continue to guide and support you. 🙏

Part 1 – Warm-up

We often wait until we have an hour to practise. But your body doesn’t need perfection—it needs consistency.

Even 5–10 minutes of mindful movement can wake up your joints, improve your posture, and calm your mind.

This simple warm-up is a reminder that every practice counts. Start where you are. Keep showing up.

Next week we’ll be taking these movements outdoors at our Hiking Yoga Workshop in Westgate. 🌿

✨ Little and often creates lasting change.

What a wonderful summer evening we had last night at the Ringway Centre!

With London reaching 35°C, we took our July Open Mic into the garden, where a welcome breeze, great music and even better company made for a memorable evening.

We also celebrated two very special birthdays, raising a glass of homemade plum, peach and grape juice to Freddy, who turns 94 today, and Grace, who celebrated her 81st birthday this week. Along with fresh fruit juice and homemade cake, there was plenty of singing, laughter and friendship to go around.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a special evening.

If you've never joined us before, why not come along? Our Open Mic takes place on the second Thursday of every month, welcoming musicians, singers and listeners of all abilities. Next week, we'll be back for our Music Night (Singalong) on the third Thursday of the month, where everyone is encouraged to join in with familiar favourites.

Community is built one song at a time.

One of the things I love most about Ayurveda is that it encourages us to pay attention.

How are we sleeping?
How are we eating?
How are we feeling?
What do we need more of, and what do we need less of?

During our Summer Reset Mini Retreat at Colfe's, we'll explore how the summer season affects us and learn simple practices that can help us feel more balanced, energised and at ease.

Alongside Yoga, breath work and relaxation, you'll leave with practical ideas that you can take into everyday life.
