Sultry cat eye for beautiful Alexis 🖤
She has the most amazing almond shaped eyes, I found this shape can take any set or style and still look beautiful. To accentuate her lovely almond eyes we went for a cat eye using mink 0.10 and 0.7 lashes in lengths 7-14mm. I did 2D for most of this set as I got to the inner corners I used 0.7 3D for a more lighter softer finish and I’m so happy how they turned out.

Let’s talk lashes!
So what’s the difference between faux mink, mink and silk lashes. Well if I’m honest between silk and mink not much. While faux mink and silk are super similar as they are both made from synthetic material. Real mink is well, as it sounds - made from real mink hair (either Siberian or Chinese mink)
While some brands market their silk lashes as 100% silk lashes, they are a synthetic based silk fibre, not actually real silk, as it is quite a soft material and won't be able to hold its shape and curl. This is the also the same for real mink. The real downer is not be able to get water on them as they will totally lose their shape. So showering, crying, sweating - basically just living would send these bad boys completely array, not really what you want to happen after all that time, money and effort into getting them. I prefer to use faux mink as they have a matte finish, where as silk tend to look shinier.
I just don't think it's cool or hygienic to be using real fur so that’s a big no no from me.

We went for a full but still quite a natural set in 0.8 - 0.14 lengths and 0.10 in diameter. I used longest lengths on the bottom layer of lashes because I like to keep the lash line looking neat, thick and full 🖤
