Let’s talk lashes!

So what’s the difference between faux mink, mink and silk lashes. Well if I’m honest between silk and mink not much. While faux mink and silk are super similar as they are both made from synthetic material. Real mink is well, as it sounds - made from real mink hair (either Siberian or Chinese mink)

While some brands market their silk lashes as 100% silk lashes, they are a synthetic based silk fibre, not actually real silk, as it is quite a soft material and won't be able to hold its shape and curl. This is the also the same for real mink. The real downer is not be able to get water on them as they will totally lose their shape. So showering, crying, sweating - basically just living would send these bad boys completely array, not really what you want to happen after all that time, money and effort into getting them. I prefer to use faux mink as they have a matte finish, where as silk tend to look shinier.

I just don't think it's cool or hygienic to be using real fur so that’s a big no no from me.

Natural hybrid set 🖤

For this blue eyed beaut, she wanted a natural look but not unnoticeable. So we went for lashes close to her natural length (obvs a little longer 😜)

I used 0.8 for the inner corners and then gradually increased lengths to the middle of the eye 0.9, 0.10, 0.11. From the middle to the outer corners I started using 0.12 but just for the bottom layer of lashes, the top/ middle layers I continued to use 0.11.

The reason I used different lengths for bottom lashes than the top/middle lashes is simply to keep the set neat and dense. Otherwise they tend to look more wispy.

I call these lashes bedroom lashes. They are just enough to open the eyes and frame those beaut blues but not too much to over power them. And so imagine being snuggled up to your guy/girl and giving them that side eye. Ahhhh that flick and curl that almost seems like the gods blessed you with perfect lashes.
