It’s a sign that the hair’s cuticle layer - the outer surface of each strand - is open. When it’s open, the hair absorbs moisture from the air unevenly. That uneven swelling is what frizz looks like, The reason the cuticle ifts is usually dehydration. The hair isn’t retaining enough moisture to keep those scales fat. So when people respond to frizz by adding more hold, more serum, more product layered on top — it often makes things worse. You’re coating a dehydrated strand, not feeding it. Porosity is the word for how your hair manages moisture. High porosity hair absorbs water quickly and loses it just as fast. Low porosity hair resists it. Most people have never been told which one they are — and most generic frizz advice doesn’t ask. Fine hair that frizzed is especially hard to address without this knowledge. The products made for frizz are usually too heavy. The advice given for frizz usually assumes a different hair type entirely. This is the gap a consultation fills. Not a product recommendation — a diagnosis. Understanding what your hair is actually doing, and why, before deciding what to do about it.

You don’t need to arrive with a finished idea.
You just need a starting point. A feeling. A frustration. A photo on your phone. Or nothing at all.
We think of every consultation as a collaboration on a very important project: your hair. We like talking about it almost as much as we like cutting it. Daniel trained every member of the team in a seven-step process. We ask about your hair, your lifestyle, your styling routine, what’s working and what isn’t. We listen. We reflect back what we’ve heard.
The cut isn’t the hard part. Clarity is. And that’s what we work towards together.
If you have photos, bring them. Organise them into a folder on your phone so we can look through them quickly. It’s one of the most useful things you can do before you arrive. But if you don’t have any, that’s fine too.
You don’t need certainty. You need curiosity.
Once the conversation is clear, the cut takes care of itself.
Consultations are free.
