Recovery after surgery is about more than one thing and what you eat can be an important part of giving your body what it needs while it heals. ❤️🩹
Protein helps with tissue repair, while nutrients such as vitamin C, iron and zinc each have a role to play during recovery.
Whether you eat meat and fish, follow a vegetarian diet or prefer plant-based foods, there are plenty of ways to get these nutrients into your meals.
And it isn’t about finding one magical “superfood”. A varied, balanced diet is much more important.
We’ve included both animal-based and plant-based ideas in the carousel, so whatever your diet looks like, there are plenty of options to choose from.
Everyone heals differently, so giving your body a good mix of protein, vitamins and minerals can make a real difference to how well you recover.

The decision to have weight-loss surgery is about far more than physical change. It can bring hope, nerves, excitement and uncertainty all at once.
For Leanne Kendellen , weight loss was one part of her journey. Choosing skin-removal surgery was another.
Healing didn’t happen overnight. There were moments when progress felt slow, days when her scars brought mixed emotions, and times when it was difficult to see just how far she had come.
Surgical scars can continue to settle for 12 to 18 months and sometimes longer, so patience really is part of the process.

Erin’s scar journey is one we’ve loved following 💙
She had her surgery on 29 April 2025 and started using our Wound & Scar Treatment Therapy once her tapes had been removed.
