The longer the set, the lighter and airier I keep it.

When I want more fullness, I keep the length shorter.

Long and wispy gives that soft, effortless look.

Short and full gives definition without overpowering the eyes. It’s all about balance ⚖️

Yes, I intentionally pulled out my client’s natural lash 😳

Before anyone panics… let me explain.

This wasn’t a healthy, growing lash. It had already reached the end of its natural life cycle and was ready to shed. You can identify these lashes by the white, club-shaped bulb at the end of the root.

Does it hurt? No.

Once a lash has naturally detached from the follicle and completed its growth cycle, it’s no longer firmly anchored like an actively growing lash, which is why removing this type of lash doesn’t cause the same pain as pulling out a healthy, attached lash.

➡️ If you’ve ever applied an extension, released your tweezers, and watched the extension fall off immediately with the natural lash… this is often why. The lash was already on its way out.

⚠️ This is NOT something I recommend doing unless you’re properly trained and can confidently identify a naturally shed lash. If you’re unsure, leave it alone and let it shed naturally.

A glue blob isn’t always a bad thing… 👀

The size of your adhesive bead should always match the lash you’re applying and the technique you’re using.

A larger bead isn’t automatically wrong—but it does need to be controlled.

If you’ve picked up too much adhesive, don’t wipe it onto your patch. Doing that disturbs the fresh adhesive before you’ve even applied the extension.

Instead, dip the extension back into the adhesive and pull it out slowly. Most of the time, picking up too much glue simply means you’ve lifted the extension out too quickly 💨

Small technique adjustments like this can make a big difference!
