Warwick is the county town of Warwickshire, England, situated on a meander of the River Avon. It is known for the medieval Warwick Castle, founded by William, the conqueror. The Warwick district has been named one of the best places to live in the UK. The district has appeared in a list of the top 50 of the UK's best places to live. The beautiful gardens, rich mix of architecture and historic attractions make it a great place for a short break.

Warwick castle is a medieval castle developed from a wooden fort, originally built by William the conqueror in 1068. Warwick Castle has been named one of the most popular castles in England. The castle and grounds are surrounded by their on-site accommodation, the knight's lodges and the car parks. The main car park for daily visitors is a 15 min walk from the castle entrance.

Whether you are visiting Warwick for the first time or the umpteenth time, there are lots of wonderful places to explore and so much to do in this lovely town of Warwick. The top attractions to visit in Warwick are:

Among them, undoubtedly one of the most visited attractions in Warwick is the Warwick castle. It is a great place for a family day out, whether it is for picnics or simply a lovely walk. The park has a play area, mini-golf facilities, an outdoor pool, boat hire facilities and a fun park with some amusements and games.You can also stay at the castle either in themed woodland lodges or in mediaeval glamping tents. In addition to all the activities and shows, there is plenty of open space for kids to run about and have fun! So in short, a fun day for the entire family.
Warwick has lots of green spaces as well. There are around 16 gardens including some summer houses. Hill Close Gardens is an excellent example of a beautifully reconstructed and restored Victorian pleasure style.

Another lovely option is the Mill Street Garden which is located just a short walk from Warwick Castle. The setting of the garden is beautiful and it offers amazing views of the river Avon and the castle. You can easily spend a couple of hours here exploring and enjoying the wonderful variety of plants and flowers.

St Mary's Church in Warwick is a magnificent church that dominates the town's skyline. So, if you love spending time outdoors then Warwick has a number of options.

Warwick also has a few local museums. The Market Hall museum has some really interesting exhibits and tells the story of Warwickshire.

If you are visiting Warwick, you could visit the University of Warwick which is a public research university on the outskirts of Coventry between the West Midlands and Warwickshire, England.

The University of Warwick has been assessed to be 'world-leading or 'internationally excellent in the Research Excellence Framework. It was founded in 1965 as part of a government initiative to expand higher education. The University of Warwick's best performances were in Mathematics, and Statistics, which were both ranked 21st in the world. Warwick is ranked 64th in the world and 10th in the UK.
