I’ve noticed throughout the years I’ve worked in the beauty industry that the most of the “successful” make up and hair artists only upload young, fresh women on their social media accounts. I feel like we, professionals, keep confirming again and again that featuring older faces is “bad for business”. I’m against this way of thinking. I’m sure everyone serve older clients, as we should. It feels to me that we want their money, but we shy out of showing off their faces as it would be something unsolicited in a perfect Instagram account. I don’t do that. If you notice my account, I feature all sorts of faces from younger to older as they were stars of the show. Because they were at that moment. Here you see a beautiful woman who have been through a lot, being a marathon runner since her husband passed away. I’m really happy that I served her and made her feel beautiful before her next marathon that she had. She never had her make up done before. I’m younger and never ran a marathon. I’m proud of her because she is an inspiration! She is worthy of being featured!
