Slow, honest conversations for women who feel overwhelmed, unseen, or unsure of themselves. This page exists because menopause often arrives without language.

A place to talk honestly about all things on pause...
Lets talk about the birds and the bees to our teens, and the snails and the trees to our queens. I work with menopause from the inside, not as something to fix, manage, or push through. Without context. And without space to talk about how it actually feels to live inside a changing body, nervous system, and sense of self. I’m trained as a menop

This is actually one of the core things happening in menopause, and once you see it clearly, a lot of symptoms start making sense.

At its simplest: menopause affects the nervous system because the hormones that used to regulate and calm it are no longer stable.

Veoza - New Menopause drug

There’s a new menopause medication on the NHS called Veoza… and it’s getting a lot of attention.

Not because it replaces HRT.
But because it doesn’t.

Veoza (fezolinetant) works in a completely different way.
Instead of adding hormones like oestrogen, it works in the brain… specifically on the part that controls your body temperature.

During menopause, that system becomes unstable.
That’s what causes the sudden heat surges, the night sweats, the “I feel like I’m on fire for no reason” moments.

Veoza helps calm that response down.

So what does it actually help with?

Mainly:
• Hot flushes
• Night sweats

And for some women:
• Better sleep (because you’re not waking up drenched or overheating)

But here’s the part that’s important to understand…

It does NOT directly help with:
• Mood swings
• Anxiety or that wired feeling
• Brain fog
• Vaginal dryness
• Libido

Those are more hormone-driven, which is why HRT is still often the more complete option.

So where does Veoza fit in?

It’s a really important option for women who:
• Can’t take HRT (for medical reasons)
• Don’t tolerate hormones well
• Or simply don’t want to go the hormone route

It’s taken as a simple daily tablet, and some women notice changes quite quickly.

There are a few things to be aware of:
• Possible side effects like headache or nausea
• It can affect liver function, so blood tests may be needed

Now for the honest take…

Veoza isn’t a “fix everything” solution for menopause.

It’s more like a very targeted tool.
A way to calm one of the most intense symptoms… the overheating and adrenaline-like surges.

If your experience of menopause is mainly hot flushes and night sweats, it could be a game changer.

If your experience is deeper… nervous system overload, emotional swings, exhaustion, low libido… then it’s likely just one piece of a much bigger puzzle.

And that’s where a more layered approach is needed.

Menopause is not one symptom.
It’s a whole system shift.

This is just one new tool in the box.

If you’ve heard about Veoza or are considering it, I’d love to hear your thoughts or experiences below.

Menopause Fatigue Is Real

Fatigue is one of the most common symptoms women experience during menopause. In fact, research shows that around 67% of women report significant fatigue during this stage of life (Dr Liz Andrews, medical review – 01 November 2024).

This isn’t just “feeling a bit tired.” Many women describe it as a deep exhaustion that affects their ability to think clearly, navigate emotional responses, work, exercise, or even manage everyday tasks.

Hormonal changes during menopause can affect:
• Sleep quality – night sweats and insomnia disrupt rest
• Energy levels – fluctuating oestrogen impacts the body’s energy regulation
• Stress response – the nervous system can become more easily overwhelmed
• Mental clarity – brain fog and emotional strain add to the fatigue

Too often women are told they are simply getting older or need to “push through" it will pass. But menopause fatigue is a real physiological response to hormonal change, not a personal hiccup.

If this sounds familiar, you are not alone.

Let’s talk about it together on my YouTube channel; a new video on this topic is being released this weekend or when I am less tired😂😂

Menopause at Work

Menopause doesn’t stay at home.
It walks straight into your workplace.

At first, you’re still the strong one. The dependable one. You push through deadlines, late nights, exhaustion. You keep the wheels turning.

Then something shifts.

You’re tired in a way that sleep doesn’t fix. Meetings feel harder. Small questions feel overwhelming. You react in ways that surprise even you. You try to explain. You ask for space.

And sometimes, instead of support… you’re managed out.

Policies may exist on paper, but without real understanding they mean very little. Menopause is biological. It is human. It is not hysteria. And it is not a flaw to be removed from the workplace.

At MenoGround, we’ve signed the Menopause Workplace Pledge with Wellbeing of Women because this conversation matters. Not as a badge, but as a responsibility.

In my latest YouTube video, I talk honestly about what menopause at work can look like, and how to rebuild when you feel stripped of your confidence and identity.
