Happy times over the last 8 weeks: Xan’s return, holidays with friends, tennis, birthday parties, baby birds galore and the wonderful wedding of Moo and Andy yesterday. Thanks for all the joy amidst the ghastly reality of geopolitics and global warning and suffering affecting so many.

A welcome burst of Asia today with the fabulous Samurai exhib followed by lots of dim sum in Chinatown- kung hei fat choy!

What a magnificent match! It turns out that winning really isn’t everything.

We’ve been to a lot of beautiful places in the last few months but Galloway is so special. Proper countryside, lots of wildlife, dark dark night skies. On this visit we enjoyed family parties, happy hares, a sheep rescue, a seaside sauna with a view of the Solway Firth and an owl, brilliant independent shops, sunsets, stargazing and loads of fresh air. Go visit!

The sun continues to shine, at Kew Gardens anyway, where we listened to the fabulous Mary Beard and Tom Holland discuss Ancient Greece, and I braved my fear of heights to climb among the trees. do you remember I couldn’t manage it before? A very uplifting day!

What a wonderful day! Such a joy to see and Hannah marry, and then to enjoy a fabulous party in the Cotswolds full of love and people and dancing. Magical.

Happy days in Edinburgh and Bristol watching Honor and Xander graduate, listening to inspiring speeches by and reminding them to stay curious and step up to laying the path for the lives they want to live. Two joyous days. So many gorgeous young people, I wish all of you all the best! ✨
