As you all know I no longer offer the Anti-Volume Keratin treatment and have transitioned to their other treatment called Primer 🩵

I chose Primer because it not only delivers smooth, frizzfree, shiny hair but also actively improves the condition of the hair over time. As many of you have trusted me with your hair for years, I wanted to share some information about the treatment so you can understand how it differs from the Anti-Volume Keratin treatment.

Primer is a completely different treatment with a different process to the Anti-Volume Keratin treatment.

The Anti-Volume Keratin treatment works on the outside of the hair shaft by coating it, sealing the cuticle, and creating straight, soft, and shiny results. However, these effects gradually wash out over time.

Primer works differently. It penetrates the hair internally, using amino acids to replenish the essential protein building blocks needed to repair, strengthen, and smooth damaged hair. This means it helps improve the hair from the inside out. Over time, it enhances moisture retention, supports keratin production, improves elasticity, and results in smoother, healthier, and more resilient hair.

Unlike traditional smoothing treatments that primarily create a cosmetic coating on the hair, Primer focuses on improving the overall condition and integrity of the hair fibre itself. This makes it particularly beneficial for hair that is damaged, porous, chemically treated, or prone to frizz.

One of the key benefits of Primer is its progressive effect. With repeated treatments, the hair structure continues to improve, leading to stronger, smoother, and longer-lasting results over time.

There are a couple of things to be aware of. Primer can lift artificial hair colour, so this should be considered when planning your treatments. It can also leave a slight tacky residue immediately after the service, which typically washes out over the next 3–4 shampoos. Depending on how often you wash your hair, this can take anywhere from one week to ten days.

Despite this, you can still expect straight, frizz-free, soft, silky, and shiny hair that is much easier to manage and maintain at home.
