I’ve recently started using the eye pencil and tubing mascara, and I’m really loving how they make my eyes look ✨
I use the eye pencil on my upper waterline and along the lower lash line, only taking it halfway across to keep the look soft and natural.
The tubing mascara is another favourite — it’s smudge-free, buildable and gives me lovely long, separated lashes without looking too heavy.
I chose brown in both products because I find it gives a much softer, more subtle finish than black and works beautifully for an everyday look.
And the staying power is so impressive — both products last all day! 🤎

Apparently, at 52, I’m now too old to make stupid videos. 😂

I’ve been advised to “act my age”.

Absolutely. I’ll get onto that… just as soon as I work out what 52 is supposed to act like. 🤷‍♀️

I’m having fun, I’m not hurting anyone, and life’s far too short to suddenly become sensible.

So yes, the stupid videos will continue. Sorry. 😜

✨ MY NIGHT TIME ROUTINE AT 52 ✨

My evening skincare routine is actually pretty simple, and one ingredient has been part of it for around 15 years: tretinoin.

I use prescription strength tretinoin 0.05% on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights. I currently buy mine in Italy, where the rules around obtaining it differ from the UK. In the UK, tretinoin generally requires a prescription.

Afterwards, I keep things simple with a rich moisturiser, ideally one containing niacinamide or other barrier supporting ingredients. For me, protecting my skin barrier is just as important as using active ingredients, especially when using a retinoid.

And that’s basically it. No complicated 10 step routine.

I’ve been using tretinoin for around 15 years, and now, at 52, I’m really happy with how my skin looks and feels. Retinoids have definitely earned their permanent place in my routine!

Obviously, tretinoin isn’t suitable for everyone, so get professional advice before adding prescription strength retinoids to your routine.
