Your haircut shouldn’t need half a tub of product to look handsome 😅

The cut should be doing most of the work. Product is there to enhance the shape, build texture and give you the finish you want.

At Fella, two of our go-tos are FIRSTHAND Texturizing Paste⁠ and All-Purpose Pomade⁠.

Texturizing Paste: best for that effortless, lived-in look. It adds volume, movement and flexible texture with a natural finish, so it works particularly well on longer, looser styles.

All-Purpose Pomade: when you want more control. It gives a stronger, longer-lasting hold with low shine, making it great for slicker styles, controlling flyaways or creating a more polished finish.

The important bit? You still don’t need loads of it. Start small, work it through properly and build if you need more.

A good haircut shouldn’t have a two-week expiry date 😅

If you’re someone who gets your hair cut every 6–8 weeks, your haircut should be designed with that in mind.

Longer, lived-in styles are particularly good for this. Instead of relying on a skin fade, sharp edges or a really structured finish, there’s enough length and shape for the hair to settle, loosen up and develop more natural texture as it grows.

A good barber will think about where the weight is going to build up, how the fringe will fall and how the overall shape will change…not just how it looks when you leave the chair.
