Your skin stopped bouncing back somewhere in your forties, and you’ve quietly made peace with it. You might not have to.

There’s a reason firmness fades in midlife, and it isn’t your skincare failing you. As oestrogen declines through perimenopause and menopause, collagen production slows, skin thins, and the structural support that kept everything lifted gradually weakens. Creams work on the surface. This works far deeper.

Juläine is a next-generation collagen biostimulator developed in Sweden, and one of the most significant advances in regenerative aesthetics we’ve seen. Rather than adding volume like a traditional filler, it’s designed to prompt your own skin to rebuild its collagen from within, gradually and naturally, with results that build over months rather than appearing overnight.

It’s the kind of treatment Dr Ivona has always believed in. Regeneration over transformation. Working with the biology of a changing face, not against it.

Marrelle has been chosen as one of a small number of UK clinics permitted to offer Juläine, with treatment available later this year once Dr Ivona completes her training. Places will be limited to begin with.

The questions people are often too hesitant to ask about dermal fillers.

If you’re considering treatment for the first time, it’s natural to wonder whether it will hurt, whether it will last, and whether you’ll still look like yourself afterwards.

The truth is that thoughtful, medically led filler is far less dramatic than people imagine. Placed with restraint and a facial harmonisation approach, the aim is never to change how you look, but to restore volume, support structure and help you look rested and like yourself again.

Here’s something that changes how you think about skin: your face isn’t one single surface. It’s a structure of distinct layers, and each one does a completely different job.

The surface gives you texture and tone. The dermis holds hydration and collagen. The deeper structure provides support and definition. When skin ages, these layers don’t change all at once, or in the same way, which is exactly why one treatment can never do everything.
Treating the surface won’t restore deep support. Restoring structure won’t refine surface texture. The real skill is understanding which layer is actually driving your concern, and then treating it at the right depth.

This is why I so rarely rely on a single treatment. By working thoughtfully across different layers, the results look more complete, more balanced and far more natural, because the whole face is being supported, not just one part of it.

If there’s one skincare ingredient worth understanding, it’s Vitamin C.

It’s one of the most researched actives we have, and one of the few that works in two directions at once: protecting your skin from daily damage while improving its quality over time.

Every day your skin faces UV, pollution and environmental stress. These generate free radicals that quietly break down collagen and speed up ageing. As an antioxidant, Vitamin C helps neutralise that damage, while also supporting collagen production, brightening dullness and helping even out tone.

But here’s what matters most: consistency beats strength. A well-formulated Vitamin C used every morning under SPF will always do more than an occasional high-strength product. Steady, daily support is what creates real, lasting results.

Swipe through for the science, the benefits, and how I recommend using it.

Facial harmonisation isn’t about changing your face. It’s about balance.

Rather than focusing on one feature in isolation, harmonisation looks at the face as a whole: how structure, volume, contour and skin quality work together. As we move through midlife, these elements shift at different rates, and the result can be a face that simply looks tired or slightly “off,” even when nothing obvious has changed.

The approach is considered and subtle. Sometimes that means restoring support. Sometimes it means improving the quality and health of the skin itself, as seen here, so the face looks fresher and more rested from within.

The goal is never to alter your features. It’s to bring everything back into quiet balance, so you look like yourself, just more refreshed.

Subtle. Considered. Completely you.

GLP-1 medications like the ones everyone is talking about have changed the way many women approach weight loss. But there’s a side to them that’s rarely discussed: what they can do to the face.

The face often loses volume faster than the rest of the body. As that natural support fades, skin that once sat over fuller contours can start to look hollow, lax and tired, sometimes ageing a woman’s appearance even as her health improves. You may have heard this called “Ozempic face.”

Here’s what’s important to know: it isn’t a reason to stop. It’s a reason to support your face thoughtfully as your body changes. With the right medically led approach, lost structure and skin quality can be restored, helping you look as well as you feel.

This is exactly what I’ll be exploring in my presentation this September, so consider this your introduction.

There are so many biostimulators and skin boosters available now, but they are not all the same.

Each one works differently, targets different concerns, and suits different skin. Choosing the right one isn’t about what’s trending. It’s about what your skin actually needs.

A few we work with at Marrelle Clinic:
• NCTF: a revitalising treatment that boosts hydration, tone and radiance for tired, dull or early-ageing skin.
• Profhilo: a bio-remodelling treatment that spreads through the skin to deeply hydrate and improve firmness and elasticity.
• Polynucleotides: regenerative treatments that repair and strengthen the skin from within, ideal for thinning, fragile or stressed skin.
• Jalupro: an amino acid and hyaluronic acid blend that supports collagen and improves overall skin quality.
• Celora Vita: a biorestorative treatment that hydrates, supports elasticity and improves skin quality from within.

So how do we choose? It comes down to your skin quality, your concerns, your stage of ageing and what’s happening hormonally beneath the surface. That’s exactly what a consultation is for. Understanding your skin first, then selecting the treatment, or combination of treatments, that genuinely fits.

Different skin. Different needs. A considered, medically led choice every time.

This is what facial harmonisation really means.

Rather than focusing on one feature, this result came from looking at the face as a whole and gently restoring balance across several areas in a single, considered session, softening the tear troughs, supporting the cheeks, refining the jawline and bringing subtle definition to the lips.

The difference is clear, but notice what hasn’t changed. She still looks completely like herself. Just more rested, more balanced, more refreshed.

That’s always the goal at Marrelle. Not transformation, not a different face, but harmony, restoring structure and support in a way that respects your natural features and the way they work together.

Every result like this begins with a thorough consultation and a plan built entirely around the individual.
