The learning doesn't stop when the needle comes out.
Every practical session ends with a debrief: what went well, what felt uncertain, what the trainer noticed that the student may have missed.
Students often clock things about their own performance they wouldn't otherwise articulate until they're asked directly.
That reflection is where technique actually becomes understanding. Skipping it means students repeat the same patterns without ever examining them.

What a weekend at the Professional Beauty Show at Excel London! πβ¨
Two days, hundreds of conversations, and one major milestone: we officially debuted our new CIDESCO accreditation to the industry!! It's a standard we've worked hard to meet, and sharing it in person with the practitioners and future students who stopped by our stand made it even more meaningful. π₯°
We met practitioners at every stage, from those just starting to explore a career in aesthetics to experienced professionals looking to specialise further. Watching so many of you decide to start your Level 2-7 qualification with LIA this weekend reminded us exactly why we do this.
To everyone who signed up this weekend... we'll see you in LIA training room!

"Advanced" gets used loosely across this industry to describe courses that are really just more expensive versions of beginner content.
Genuine advanced training builds on a demonstrated foundation. It assumes prior competency and pushes into higher risk techniques, more complex anatomy, and clinical scenarios that require real judgment, not just a new certificate to display.
We only take students into advanced courses once we've verified they have the foundational skill to build on. Otherwise the label means absolutely nothing!

β° 1 DAY TO GO until Professional Beauty London! β¨
And we're walking in with huge news: LIA is officially a CIDESCO accredited school! π
If you know the industry, you know what that means, CIDESCO is the international gold standard in aesthetics education. It now sits alongside our VTCT accreditation, giving our students a qualification respected across the UK AND internationally.
Come find us at stand Q46 to hear about our exclusive show offers for Level 2-7! We'd love to talk training standards, career pathways and meet the practitioners who hold us to this standard every single day!
Level 2 and Level 3 students, this one's for you.
Every student on our Level 2 and Level 3 courses receives a free Eve Taylor kit as part of their training. Not an add-on. Not an upsell. Part of what you're investing in when you train with us.
Proper products for proper practice!

A student who rushes through the consultation to get more practice time on technique is showing us something concerning.
It tells us they see the consultation as a formality standing between them and the treatment, rather than the clinical foundation the whole appointment is built on.
We slow those students down deliberately. Because that mindset, if it isn't corrected in training, becomes a habit that shows up with real clients later.

Not everyone reaches competency on the same timeline, and we don't pretend otherwise.
Some students need an additional supervised session. Some need more time with a particular technique before we sign off on their assessment. That's not failure - it's the system working as it should.
The problem in this industry isn't students who need more time. It's training providers who don't allow for it because their course structure is built around fixed dates rather than actual competency.
We build in the flexibility to let people get there properly!

A client insists on a treatment you don't think is right for them. Disagreeing outright can damage trust. Agreeing anyway can damage them.
The skill is in the middle: acknowledging what they want, explaining your clinical reasoning clearly, and offering an alternative that still moves them toward their actual goal.
Most clients respond well to this when it's done with genuine care rather than a flat no. That's a communication skill we train deliberately, not something we assume practitioners will just pick up.
