Another blessed Pamper Day. 9 years ago, the inspiration came that we sisters need a day for themselves, to stop the hustle and the madness, to bond again - take up a comb and lovingly comb each other's hair; to titivate with nails, massage each others heads and hands, to soak in a footspa and bless their feet; to talk over things that's on their minds, to let go. Pamper Day was born. Instead of sisters exchanging treats, however, about 6-8 pamper helpers found themselves DOING the treats for them. Well, we're tired now, need the loving and treats ourselves. The original vision must return for Pamper Day to continue in the spirit of everyone who attends, who is a part experiencing the day without strain.

Back then, few were interested in SHEA butter, said it "smelt" - wanted in blended and mixed with some fragrance. Fewer understood "yoga" and frowned on "meditation" - but thankfully passions and impressions have somewhat changed. This has allowed us to introduce the deeper significance of the pamper day - spiritual alignment, ancestral remembrance. We have a standing shrine, a simple one so sisters can light a candle and commune with an ancestor whilst experiencing the day. No one is coerced but brought gently to awareness of and opening to spirit. It's a blessed thing.

Thanks to all the lovely ladies, helpers and guests who continue to make it impossible to give up the sweat and tiredness that comes with hosting the pamper day. Seeing your happy smiles and appreciation of it all makes the day so special and worthwhile. Against the challenges, and changes we'll endeavour to keep pamper day going. For the love of nubiance and sisterhood.

Always radiant, the experience of nubiance is individual but persisting. At nubia pamper, we have our own way of helping you touch base with spirit. We aim to help you connect with self, centre. We encourage you to honour ancestors in the pursuit of finding grace. We say be still and know...that all is well.
Always a beautiful coming together of sisters from different generagions, different takes on life, but sharing a secret oneness of being woman/feminine/sensual and needing nurturing as much as giving it. That's why the pamper day is a perfect expression of Osun.
Thanks to all the wonderful sisters who were there, having come with love. For who comes to the pamper day, can only come with the spirit of love and leave with the radiating vibrations of peace.
