Morning All-

It is with some very mixed emotions that 2K Men will be closing our (quite stiff!) door at the end of business on Thursday the 25th of April.

As most of our customers will know, our Barber Alex, has been successfully running the Barber shop since lockdown. However, he now has the opportunity to expand his flourishing videography business and as such, has made the tough decision to put down his scissors in favour of a camera!

We would like to take this opportunity to Thank all of our current loyal customers and to everyone who has used our services in the past. We’ve certainly had some great times and staff over the last 19 years for which we are very grateful.

A special Thank you to Kev for being one of our longest serving and most Loyal barbers.

Although 2K Men is closing, Hair 2K will continue to provide services to all and will not be affected by the closure.

Once again... Thank you all for sticking by us and making this business a success.

Dear friends/customers,
As many of you know, our Barber Alex, has been off for the last few weeks having been diagnosed with the dibilitating illness, Labyrinthitis. He had hoped to be back to work today and arrangements had been made to get him to and from work as he is unable to drive. In an attempt to gauge exactly where he’s at, he tried to cut his son’s hair yesterday- it didn’t go well in that he felt sick, dizzy and developed a severe headache.
We would sincerely like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Our Barber, Kev is working this Saturday and will also be available for appointments next week.

Firstly, we sincerely hope that you are all safe and well.

Secondly, as you are no doubt aware, the Governments roadmap out of lockdown suggests that Hairdressers and Barbers in England may be able to reopen as of the 12th of April. However, this is dependant on the Government’s review of the relevant Data and we understand that we will be given one weeks notice of any intended date in this regard.

To avoid any confusion/disappointment, Hair 2K and Men 2K have decided that we will not be looking to book appointments until it is certain that we can open. However, should you wish to be put on the list for an appointment with a stylist from Hair 2K, please telephone 01959577555 and leave a message on the answer phone.
For those wishing to be put on a list for Men 2K, you can ring, text or whatsapp after the 17th of March on 07411231353.

Once we have been given the Green Light to open, a member of the 2K Team will contact you to arrange a convenient appointment.

For the safety of both staff and clients, we will maintain a Covid safe environment and in order to achieve this, we will be limiting the numbers of staff and customers in the Salon/Barber shop at any given time. We will continue to take the temperature of all persons before entering the premises and provide disposable masks and gowns to every client. Time will also be allowed between appointments to sanatise the workstations and equipment.

We’ve just had a visit from the Environment and Public protection office-
The officers were satisfied with our Health protection measures and commented that we had clearly already looked at the Government Guidance document in relation to the Health Protection (Coronovirus, Restrictions) (No.2) (England) Regulations 2020.

Please be assured that we will continue to strive in making your visit to Men 2K as safe as we possibly can.
