In light of recent events I’ve been extremely sad, hurt, confused and struggling for the right words to say. I’ve been battling with myself all week asking how such a basic concept of “Black Lives Matter” is so difficult for so many to grasp. Seeing all over social media that something so simple cannot be understood is exhausting. Seeing so many people, businesses and organisations post for performative reasons without taking action to encourage and incite change hurts to the core.

I’ve had many conversations with my fellow brothers and sisters on how we can make a change and it’s clear that this involves having difficult conversations with employers and one another, further educating ourselves about our history, encouraging white people to educate themselves about black history and right at the top is supporting BLACK people.

Something that is very close to my heart is business so first on my agenda is to uplift and support our black brothers and sisters in business. Here are some amazing BLACK OWNED BUSINESSES which I encourage you to support by following, sharing or purchasing.
