The mighty Mossman played by Stephen Adentan for Travis Knight’s Masters of the Universe
Another huge undertaking for our amazing BGFX team.
We did masses of R&D and prep figuring out the hair work and what combination of synthetic and natural products to use.
Our incredible hair team was headed by Chloe Muton-Phillips with art finishing on all the appliances supervised by Emma Faulkes
Sculpture was handled by Ashley Powell .sculpture and
Mould making supervised by John Eldred-Tooby with silicone and digital work handled by Harvey Smith and his team.
Lenses courtesy of Eyeworks For Film and beautiful dentures by Chris Lyons - Fangs FX
Big thanks again to Costume Designer Richard Sale and his team for a wonderful collaboration!

The long awaited return of ‘Rivals S2’ is finally here!!!
We were absolutely delighted to work with David Tennant again giving Lord Baddingham a nasty clobber to the head!
Thank you so much to HMU Designer for having us involved on this incredible show, and for being so lovely to work with on DT 🥰
Jill had a clear plan of how to chart Tony’s injury so we designed a great prosthetic and wig combo that worked a treat! We also made some tattoo transfers for the bruising to help with continuity which tracked for a long time during the show over various stages.
As ever, thanks to the Red Girl team for smashing it 💪

Have you tried Brush Shampoo yet?
Created by one of our favourite makeup designers, Siân Richards (Sinners), back in 2010, this has been a pro kit staple for years and honestly… we completely understand why.
It makes brush cleaning so much easier. The foam is ridiculously rich, it gets stubborn stains and makeup out properly, and leaves brushes feeling soft instead of dry and crunchy afterwards. We tried it on sponges too and it works brilliantly. It’s always a bestseller here at Tilt Professional Makeup.
There are two formulas depending on your tools:
— Goat Milk to condition and revive natural hair brushes
— Vegan for synthetic and vegan brushes, with the same deep clean artists love
Available in a handy 2oz size or the larger 6oz pro size for serious kit users.
And the scents… 👀
English Lavender
Lemon Zest
Naturally Clean
Young Coconut
Which one’s your favourite?
Now in stock at Tilt Professional Makeup. Run, don’t walk.

1950s stage makeup was never meant to be subtle 🎭
Under the bright theater lights, every feature had to speak louder — darker brows, defined lips, dramatic eyes, heavy powder, and bold shadows.
It wasn’t just makeup…
it was a costume for the face.
A way to turn a performer into a character before they even said a word ✨
