Creating Remmick
One of my favorite makeups from SINNERS. “Remmick” played by Jack O’Connell. Ryan Coogler wrote this amazing scene where his face gets ripped open on camera. On one of our calls he had the idea to use this moment as a way to reveal that his molars are actually fangs. Makeup is an additive process, so it’s really tricky to make it seem like someone’s face is actually missing. Carlos Huante worked with me to flesh out the concept in pencil before I started sculpting. Dominic Mombrun - Bitemakers ltd created some really amazing dentures that overlapped Jack’s real face. I applied this with the amazing Kevin Wasner Kelsey Berk

Rough Makeup test for Cold Storage made at Igor studios that was put together by Myself, Thea, Annabelle and (I think? It was ages ago now) We did this with custom silicone bladders and plastic bag tech in the same vain as **kinjohnson 90’s style with a load of pumps and douches.
I think I was opereating 3 at the time, One In Each hand and one between my thighs. I got absolutely drenched doing this and having my underwear filled up with the slime for hours wasn’t as much fun as you’d think it would be! I want to revisit this at some point as it was cool seeing the possibilities of something a bit different. Greatful for the opertunity to design, experiment and play for Dave Elsey at Igor Studios. I’m not sure who sculpted, moulded the silicone piece we used so please let me know and I’ll add your name. Edit by me (it’s rough!) sound fx by free sound project.
