Hello everyone, it’s Alexandra the founder of Olixa here. I have some news about my business - we are being acquired by Re:lax Ldn from the 1st August.

It’s been an absolute joy for me to found Olixa and develop and launch our much-loved products. Over the years we have seen nine new product launches, packaging upgrades, thousands of orders, hundreds of 5-star customer reviews, global expansion with our amazing retail and distribution partners, along with being featured in some of the best publications in the UK and internationally.

But, the time has come for me to take a step away from the brand. I am pleased to announce that Re:lax Trade, headed up by Katie White, will be acquiring Olixa. I have worked with Katie and Re:lax for the past five years, with the Re:lax facial studio including Olixa products in its treatments since opening in 2019 and the Olixa Gummy Cleanser being a consistent bestseller for re:lax skin store. I cannot think of a more knowledgeable, passionate and savvy businesswoman to take over the brand and see that it reaches its full potential. Katie has founded her own facial studio in Hackney, east London; developed a BABTAC-certified facial therapist training school; launched a retail business selling some of the most high-performance natural skincare products; and is mid-build for a soon-to-launch flagship facial studio in London Bridge.

The branding, products and formulations as you know them will remain the same; the only difference is that the behind-the-scenes ownership is changing.

On a personal note, I would like to thank all our friends on here that have supported the brand from the very beginning (you know who you are!), our customers who have used and loved our products and all the people who have taken part in making the brand what it is today.

The small but effective range is all about natural active ingredients. The products are both effective and the textures & scents make them a pleasure to use. Two of my favourites are the Centella Asiatica Mask that’s become my go-to when my skin feels dehydrated/stressed and needs something calming. Then there’s the Explorer All Over Oil - a gorgeously light feeling oil that can be used on face/body. Does a bit of everything and I’ve been especially loving this for both extra moisture combined with whichever face moisturiser I’m using. Especially now whilst the seasons change (always makes my skin a bit bonkers). Plus I’ve also been using for my stomach, as it still recovers a bit after having my second baby.​​​​​​​​

"The Mushroom Facial Mist is a relatively new launch from the brand. It is a mega formulation of reishi and shiitake mushrooms, plus adaptogens including holy basil, ashwagandha and ginseng. The mist is so delicate and fine that it immediately calms and comforts my skin. I think this is actually my favourite product from Olixa (or at least, it is today, hah).​​​​​​​​

Explorer All Over Oil was actually one of the first products I tried (back when Olixa was called Oilixia and the Explorer oil was housed in a turquoise 30ml pipette bottle). And today, it's still a hardworking favourite! Except now, it is a generous 50ml pump bottle. It's really such a good oil if you're looking for a multi-tasking product that visible smooths the skin with a nourishing and healthy glow."
