It's almost time to say goodbye 🥹

In 3 weeks, the doors will be closing on Belle by Karis at 74 St Mary Road.

A lot of you know my history, but here's a quick breakdown for those that don't.....

I was born to St Mary Road, No. 10 to be exact. My grandfather bought our old family home in the 60s or 70s after emigrating from South Africa during Apartheid.
My late father grew up on this road, as did my brother and I.

We sold our family home in 2021, after my father passed, but I never really left St Mary Road as I spent 5 days a week there working my butt off beautifying the good folks of The Stow.

COVID was absolute hell, trying to keep the Salon running, with zero income or help from the government, but we made it through.
Every year since has seen some struggle or another, but mixed in with the endless joy and laughter shared with you, my wonderful clients.

Saying goodbye to the salon, wasn't by choice, but needed to happen for various reasons, I've made my peace with it. Onwards and upwards.

What has dawned on me in the last week or so is that in closing the Salon I'm officially saying goodbye to a road/area that was my home. The memories of times past, my dad, grandparents, family, friends, childhood, adulthood, good and bad times.....nearly 40 years worth of memories.

It has been an absolute pleasure welcoming my wonderful clients to the Salon over the years. We've been through births, deaths, marriages, break ups, retirements, political changes, business name changes, etc together and I've loved every minute. Thank you for your endless support of me and my little business.

Please join my family and I on the final day, Saturday 30 August, to bid farewell to the Salon.

3pm.

I'll stock up on some prosecco, but feel free to BYOB, so we can raise a glass to the next chapter whilst closing out this one.
