πŸ’› When one Black woman is dehumanised, all women should speak up.

The attacks directed at Michelle Obama are not just personal insultsβ€”they echo a long and painful history of questioning the femininity, dignity, and humanity of Black women.

For generations, Black women have faced stereotypes designed to diminish their worth, silence their voices, and strip them of the respect they deserve. There is no place for racism, misogyny, or hateful rhetoric in any society.

Michelle Obama has carried herself with grace, intelligence, strength, and dignity throughout her years in public life. Whether you agree with her politics or not, every woman deserves to be treated with respect.

As women, we must continue to stand together against discrimination, challenge harmful narratives, and create a world where every woman is valued for who she isβ€”not judged by the colour of her skin or targeted because of her identity.

Today, we stand with Michelle Obama.

Today, we stand with every Black woman who has ever been made to feel "less than."

Because when we uplift one another, we all rise. 🀍

πŸ•ŠοΈ The Woman Who Saved Hundreds of Children With Compassion Instead of Force

August 20, 2013. A gunman armed with an assault-style rifle entered Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy in Georgia.

As panic spread and teachers rushed children to safety, one woman stayed behind.

Antoinette Tuff, the school's bookkeeper, calmly spoke to the gunman for nearly an hour. Instead of responding with fear, she chose empathy. She shared her own life struggles, listened without judgment, and reminded him that his life still had value.

Her words made a difference.

The gunman surrendered peacefully, and approximately 870 students and staff members returned home safely that day.

> "We're not going to hate you." β€” Antoinette Tuff

Her courage reminds us that compassion can be a powerful tool in even the darkest moments.

SOUTH AFRICA XENOPHOBIA: Nigerian Businessman Refuses to Shut Down Shop, Says He Employs Over 25 South Africans

A Nigerian entrepreneur in South Africa has vowed not to close his business despite rising anti-immigrant tensions in the country.

He stated that his business directly employs more than 25 South African citizens and that he operates fully with valid legal documentation, stressing that he is not residing or working in the country illegally.

According to him, only the South African authorities through proper legal procedures have the power to order his departure, not public pressure or threats.

South Africa's ongoing xenophobia crisis is beginning to take a serious toll beyond diplomatic relations, with the country's entertainment industry now feeling the impact.

Justice Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi has disclosed that several South African artists are losing performance opportunities across Africa as criticism over the treatment of foreign nationals continues to grow.

According to Kubayi, one artist told her that all of her bookings across the continent had been cancelled, resulting in a significant loss of income.

She noted that many South African entertainers rely heavily on performances in other African countries, making the cancellations a growing concern for the creative industry.

The minister added that the government will engage stakeholders in the arts and culture sector to assess the economic impact of the cancelled shows and explore possible solutions.
