Stubborn nasal pores - significantly refined in just 10 days 👃✨
Using our fully ablative Cool Laser (Er:YAG), Dr Rishi was able to precisely resurface this area and improve the appearance of this patient’s enlarged pores
And importantly, these photos were taken just 10 days post-treatment 🤩
The difference is already clearly visible, but the skin is still healing and remodelling, meaning further improvement can continue over the coming weeks and months.
So, why can Cool Laser (Er:YAG) be so effective for certain pore and texture concerns? ⬇️
⚡️ Precision resurfacing
It allows for highly controlled ablation with minimal thermal spread, making it particularly useful when treating thicker, pore-prone areas such as the nose.
⚡️ Smoother texture
By resurfacing the skin and stimulating the natural healing response, treatment can help improve uneven texture and reduce the appearance of enlarged pores.
⚡️ Results that continue to evolve
While improvements can often be seen relatively early, collagen remodelling continues after treatment as the skin heals.
Of course, pores are a completely normal part of the skin and no treatment can - or should promise to - “erase” them entirely.
But with the right technology, appropriate settings and careful patient selection, we can achieve a significant improvement in their appearance 🙏
What do you think? Do you suffer with enlarged or clogged pores? It’s one of the most common concerns we see in clinic 💬👇
XERF is not a laser - and that distinction matters 🙏⬇️
XERF uses monopolar radiofrequency, not light energy ⚡️
That means radiofrequency energy is delivered through the tissues as heat, reaching the skin, the subcutaneous fat layer and the deeper SMAS layer underneath - helping to support tightening, remodelling and collagen stimulation.
➡️ Laser works differently.
Laser uses light energy, which is attracted to specific targets in the skin known as chromophores - things like:
• Water
• Pigment
• Haemoglobin within blood vessels
Because of that, different lasers can be used very specifically to target concerns such as pigmentation, sun damage, vessels and melasma, as well as skin rejuvenation.
So while radiofrequency and laser can sometimes achieve overlapping goals - such as stimulating collagen and improving skin quality - they’re doing it using completely different types of energy.
And that’s why understanding the technology matters when choosing the right treatment for your skin 👏👏👏

As seen in Forbes ✨🗞️
We’re incredibly proud to see Drs Tatiana + Rishi Advanced Aesthetics featured in this great new Forbes feature 🤩 The piece explores how K-Beauty is influencing the future of luxury skincare… from regenerative medicine and changing patient priorities to the move towards more personalised, evidence-led skin health 🙏
One of the biggest shifts Dr Tatiana is seeing in clinic? 👀
➡️ Patients are no longer simply asking how they can look “younger”.
They want to look healthier, fresher, more rested and more like themselves - with treatments that support the skin rather than dramatically change the face 👏
The piece also explores the rise of regenerative treatments, including technologies such as our new XERF treatment, and the growing interest in treatments and ingredients designed to work with the skin’s own repair mechanisms.
Dr Tatiana explains that the future of aesthetics is increasingly about combining genuine innovation with clinical evidence and choosing what each individual patient’s skin actually needs ✨🙏👩⚕️
For us, great aesthetics has never been about chasing every new trend ❌
✅ It’s about building stronger, healthier skin over time and choosing products and treatments because they have a clear purpose within an individual plan.
As Dr Tatiana tells Forbes, the future is moving towards care that is scientifically grounded, highly personalised, minimally invasive and capable of delivering natural, long-lasting results.
And we love to see it! 👏👏👏
A huge thank you to Forbes and Laia Farran Graves for including Dr Tatiana in this brilliant conversation about where our industry is heading 🩵

Should you get a facelift in your 40s? 👀⬇️
Dr Rishi’s answer? Yes - if you 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗲
➡️ There isn’t a “correct” age for a facelift.
What matters far more than the number on your birthday cake is what’s happening 𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺.
If there is:
✨ Sufficient skin laxity
✨ Descent of the facial fat compartments
✨ Changes to the jawline or lower face that surgery would meaningfully address
✨ And you’re medically and emotionally ready for surgery
…then a facelift in your 40s may be entirely appropriate.
➡️ Equally, being in your 40s doesn’t automatically mean you 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 one.
The decision should always come down to 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 anatomy, 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 concerns, 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 expectations and whether surgery is genuinely the 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹 for the job.
As Dr Rishi says: if it’s the right thing for you, then it’s the right thing for you 🙏
❌ No arbitrary age limits.
❌ No one-size-fits-all rules.
❌ No pressure, no sales tactics.
✅ Just careful assessment and an individual treatment plan, delivered with honesty and your best interests in mind

“Your skin is looking so glowy and radiant… what treatments have you been having?” ✨
Firstly… thank you 🥹🩵🙏 Dr Tatiana is always very flattered when someone compliments her skin!
As an aesthetic doctor, Dr T is incredibly lucky to have access to lots of different technologies and treatments - and over the past 12 months she’s tried a few different things (most of which we’ve documented on the ‘Gram!) 🤳
But if she had to choose the treatments that she feels have made the biggest difference to her skin, these would be the standouts:
✨ XERF
For Dr Tatiana, XERF has been fantastic for supporting firmness and collagen. She’s really noticed a difference in how tight and supported her skin feels.
✨ JULAINE
This has probably been one of the biggest game changers for Dr Tatiana personally. JULAINE is a collagen stimulator designed to improve the density and thickness of the skin.
Dr T is personally prone to her skin becoming thinner and a little crepey - but she’s really noticed an improvement in density, firmness and brightness.
✨ Sunekos Performa
Dr Tatiana likes to combine her JULAINE treatments with Sunekos Performa, an injectable treatment containing hyaluronic acid and amino acids that supports collagen and elastin production within the skin.
For Dr T, that combination has given her skin the beautiful, healthy-looking glow and quality that she’s really delighted with ✨
Of course, what works for Dr Tatiana’s skin isn’t necessarily what we would recommend for everybody else - treatment should always be based on your individual skin, anatomy and concerns.
But since you asked… those are Dr T’s personal favourites at the moment 🩵
And thank you very much for noticing, Mae Pham!

What are malar bags - and why are they so hard to treat? 🤔
Let’s break it down 👇⏯️
Malar bags are areas of puffiness or swelling that sit over the cheek, beneath the lower eyelid.
Anatomically, this area sits between important retaining ligaments of the face - including the buccal retaining ligament and the zygomaticocutaneous ligament. Between these structures is a spongy tissue layer that can hold onto fluid 🧽
When this tissue starts to retain more fluid, and the overlying skin loses elasticity, the area can begin to look puffy, heavy or baggy.
➡️ And this is where treatment becomes difficult
Malar bags are challenging both surgically and non-surgically - but one of the biggest issues is that they are often treated inappropriately.
Particularly with filler.
We understand why this happens. When there is a visible ridge or hollow around the area, filler can seem like the obvious solution.
But hyaluronic acid filler attracts water 💧
So if we add filler into an area that is already holding onto too much fluid, it may look better temporarily - but over time, that tissue can retain even more water, making the puffiness look worse.
And dissolving filler in this region can be difficult 😣
So what can help? 🤔⬇️
Treatments that focus on tightening the skin and improving tissue quality may be more appropriate - such as radiofrequency microneedling or laser treatments.
In some cases, surgical options such as facelift surgery may also be considered, depending on the anatomy and degree of laxity.
The key message? ⬇️
Malar bags need proper diagnosis.
Because treating the wrong structure, with the wrong treatment, can make the problem worse.
This is why we always assess the face anatomically - looking at the skin, tissue quality, fluid retention, support, laxity and the deeper facial structures before recommending a plan 🙏
❌ Not every under-eye concern needs filler.
👉 And malar bags are a perfect example of why.
