Autumn/Winter 2016-2017 Nail Trends Part 4.
Continuing the nail trends this week with glitter manicure, as glitter and shimmers are all over the place. I mean, who doesn’t like glittery and sparkly things? There are so many ways you can apply glitter to your nails: there are glitter clear coats, which you can apply over your favourite colour or coloured polish with various glitter effects such as fine or medium glitter particles, confetti-sized sparkles, rainbow or prism effect etc. the possibilities are endless. You can cover the entire surface of your nails with sparkly polish, could apply glitter to the top part of the nail nearly like the ombre style (as on my picture); create french nails with glitter or basically any design that you like can be created with glitter. As Christmas is coming, I added a few snowflakes to the sparkly design, something, that would be also perfect for a Christmas do. This time I haven’t picked a matching outfit as any of your favourite dresses, shoes and bags would go perfectly well with glittery nails. Autumn/Winter 2016-2017 Nail Trends Part 3.
Continuing the nail trends this week with Swarovski and rhinestone embellishments, which add wealth and luxury to your nails. If you missed the first 2 parts of my blog, just scroll down the page and catch up on the various colours and designs. Crystal manicure is very popular all year round especially on those special occasions: Wedding, Christmas Parties, Summer Holidays, Anniversaries and Girls night out. There are multiple shapes, colours and sizes available known as the ‘rockery’ effect, that can be incorporated into your crystal nail art designs including butterflies, love hearts, teardrops, squares, pointed ovals and triangles. Autumn/Winter 2016-2017 Nail Trends - Part 2
As I mentioned last week, there are a wide variety of nail trends for this autumn and winter. If you missed the first part of my blog, just scroll down the page to the chrome/mirror nails – which I absolutely love - and catch up on the nail fashion. Besides the classy looking silver nails, the dark colours are also trendy such as black, dark purples and others that hint at black. If you check out Nicholas K, Mark Jacobs or Lela Rose models, there is no design involved, the nails just painted with a dark polish. However, I prefer to spice things up, it might be due to the fact that I am from eastern Europe, so I added a little bit of silver glitter to my dark nails to make them stand out. The half-moon design has been seen on celebrities and catwalks and this trend is here to stay, so i mainly used that design, the pinky looks like a frosty mountain top and i also added a stylish silver line in the middle of the index finger's nail. The outfit on the picture would perfectly match this nail design (glitter bag and pants by H&M; white top by Topshop; high heels and necklace by Zara) Next week, I am going to talk about swarovski crystals and rhinestones additions ☺

Autumn/Winter 2016-2017 Nail Trends

Nail designs are also affected by trends so as the clothing, shoes, accessories and hair. The short rounded shapes are more in line with the designer trends this autumn and winter. There are a wide variety of trendy colours and designs, which I am going to take you through week by week. Today, we are looking at the chrome/mirror nails, which are shiny enough the see your reflection. The trend started in spring and according to the FASHIONISERS website, it certainly makes one of the best autumn/winter 2016-17 trends. The chrome effect can be achieved using a chrome nail polish or a highly pigmented powder. To be honest, the polish doesn’t seem to wear very well and when you keep top coating to make it more long lasting, it dulls the shine. I prefer to use the powder and out of the many colours available, my favourite is silver, giving your nails a wealthy look, which can be spiced up with some Christmas designs if you are in the festive mood already.
