🤍 CANCELLATION POLICY UPDATE 🤍

A little policy update as we head into germ & flu season 🤧

As a one-person business, I need to protect my health as well as yours. If I become unwell, there’s nobody to step in and cover my appointments so please DO NOT attend your appointment if you’re poorly or have an infectious illness.

I would much rather you stay home and let me know than feel you have to come in because you’re worried about a cancellation fee. ❤️

At the same time, last-minute cancellations can be very difficult for a small business, as I’m often unable to refill the appointment at short notice.

PLEASE NOTE THE UPDATED POLICY:

⏰ 24+ HOURS’ NOTICE
No cancellation fee.
Any booking fee/deposit paid remains non-refundable.

⏰ LESS THAN 24 HOURS’ NOTICE

If you paid a deposit:
Your deposit will be retained as the cancellation fee. There is NO additional cancellation charge.

If you did NOT pay a deposit:
• Up to 30-minute appointment — £25
• Over 30-minute appointment — £40

❌ NO-SHOWS
If you don’t attend and haven’t contacted me, this is treated as a cancellation within 24 hours.

• Deposit paid = deposit retained
• No deposit = applicable £25/£40 fee

Future appointments may require payment in full when booking.

I completely understand that illness can happen unexpectedly and I will always try to be reasonable and fair.

This policy isn’t about penalising you for being ill it’s about protecting a small business from the impact of appointments being cancelled at very short notice.

I’ve been a little quiet on here lately 🤍

The truth is, I’ve been struggling with my ME & fibromyalgia. This time of year often triggers my chronic health issues, but I’ve finally learnt to listen to my body and do LESS when I need to.

The last couple of weeks have been about working, but not overworking. Napping when I can, hot Epsom salt baths and continuing with my oxygen therapy at the MS Society.

I have so many clients who, like me, juggle life alongside chronic health conditions, and I’m passionate about sharing what I’ve learnt along the way.

There was a time when I was regularly bedbound and living with extreme pain. Now I travel with my daughter, roller skate, run my business and even manage regular PT sessions with Scarlett MacDonald Women’s Online Coach . ❤️

One of the biggest changes for me was moving away from the prescription pain medication I had previously been taking and, under medical guidance, starting low-dose naltrexone (LDN). For me, it has made a huge difference to my pain and day-to-day life.

I also personally find vitamin injections helpful. I have high-dose vitamin D a couple of times a year, regular B-complex and use NAD+ too. These are part of MY approach to managing my health what works for one person won’t necessarily work for another.

And something I always tell my clients with chronic health conditions…

💉 PLAN YOUR RECOVERY TIME.

I personally find injections can leave me exhausted afterwards, so I always try to allow myself time to rest.

If you have a chronic condition, don’t book your treatment and then plan a crazy afternoon afterwards.

Go home. Rest. Hydrate. Have a bath. Listen to your body. 🤍

Sometimes looking after yourself properly means doing absolutely nothing.

And if you’re living with chronic illness too, you’re definitely not alone. ❤️

I know daytime appointments don’t work for everyone, so I do offer a limited number of evening appointments for:

These appointments aren’t available to book through my booking app because they’re super popular and, quite frankly, if I put every evening online I’d never get an evening to myself! 😂

So, if you can’t make my usual clinic hours, just send me a message and request an evening slot and I’ll let you know what I have available.

💋 THERE’S NO ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL WHEN IT COMES TO LIP FILLER

Every set of lips is different.

Your anatomy, proportions, natural lip shape, existing filler, skin, movement and end goal all play a part in how your lips should be treated.

And that’s why I don’t believe in simply choosing a “lip filler method” from a menu.

You’ll have around 40 minutes of numbing before we start, because I’d much rather you be properly comfortable than rush the process.

And if you’re particularly nervous about sensations, we also have the option of a dental block/anaesthetic injection to significantly reduce sensation during treatment.
