I have got a 4G connection to divert the salon calls to my mobile phone, but as most of you will be aware, Quorn is seemingly in a black hole when it comes to mobile signal. Apologies if you’ve been trying to contact us today, but some BT engineers have damaged the connection outside our shop and we’ve been unable to access the internet or respond to calls for the most part of the day. I hope all will be resolved by the end of day tomorrow. Have a good night. James x

Again, just for your information. You can currently access the centre of the village if you come down Soar Road, then there's a traffic light system in place which allows traffic to enter the village via the top of School Lane/Stoop Lane. If you're unsure where Stoop Lane is, The Apple Tree pub is on Stoop Lane. Many thanks, James

Morning all, please be aware that over the next week or so, the village will be overwhelmed with roadworks and road closures, so please allow enough time to arrive for your appointments, don't park in the pub car parks and please be considerate when parking on the roads, as not to block or inhibit access to people's houses. It'll be a funny old week or so ahead, but please allow yourselves more time to park. Also, if you do get to find a space on the car park, I'm pretty sure that because of the roadworks, there will be more traffic wardens around, so please remember that the spaces that face the shops are short stay. Morning all, Happy New Year to you all. I know I very rarely post on here, but please be aware of the flood situation in the village. Please could you allow time to get in to Quorn today and do not attempt to drive through any flood water, as cars passing through the floods are creating waves that are washing through people's homes and businesses. I'm not sure just how bad it is right now, but we are still currently open. I suggest that you park on the outskirts and walk in with suitable footwear. Morning all, excuse the lack of communication on here for a while and this post isn’t the most positive. Please be aware that as of today, you will notice that our prices will have gone up slightly, this is due to our costs rising considerably since our last price increase, which was in 2019. I personally didn’t want to increase our prices throughout the pandemic, as I felt things were tough enough for everyone, but in the current climate, I can no longer absorb the current rising costs. We shall continue to provide a great consistent service as we always do. Thank-you all and I’ll see you soon. James

Afternoon all, I hope you're all well. Some sad news to share with you today, but with the passing of a Quorn legend, I feel the need to share a few words. Bernard or Bernie was a character that moved away from the village quite a few years back, but he returned to my salon to share a few choice words about Leicester City with myself and my clients too, he also sent me a Leicester city themed Christmas card after he left which really did touch my heart. His passion for Leicester City probably exceeded any other supporter of any club in the world and his many visits of polite and expressive comments brought us all moments of absolute joy for many years. I want to pass on all of my best wishes to all of his friends and family, he truly was a great, loyal man. Rest in peace Bernard xx

Hi all, I'm still gradually working my way through catching up with my Christmas clients and you've all been so patient and outrageously generous. I've just put another 70 hour week behind me and I'm just finishing up very late on a Saturday, working with a little champagne sweetener couldn't get any better.
