Botulinum Toxin (anti wrinkle treatment) works by 'freezing' the muscle so that wrinkles cannot be formed when making facial expressions.

By 'freezing' the muscles that activate the smile we can prevent the top lip from curling up and exposing the gums.
The result is the lip does not disappear when smiling and the lip looks fuller.
