For those who have asked…. Yes I’m still filming! Yes I’m still Designing Hair and Makeup for film and TV! 🎬

You may have seen on my other account that I am also a Manifesting coach and podcaster and whilst I am so passionate about it and I’m busier than ever, I am still very much filming and I still adore it!!

I have 100% manifested the career of my dreams and I spend time helping other people to do the same and to attract their dream life too.

I’m filming something so exciting at the moment but of course, my lips are sealed… for now 🤫

A Very Royal Scandal - a peek into the Makeup and Hair Design

Lots of factors came into play whilst designing Ruth Wilson’s look as Emily Maitlis. Many mood boards were made of Emily to fine tune the hair colour, eye colour, face shape, makeup and even Emily’s signature nails.

was so generous in providing insight into her look and details which we were able bring to life in the show, including the use of her infamous bright pink rollers and actual products she’s used day to day which we adhered to where possible for authenticity.

The infamous Newsnight interview with Prince Andrew was key in my design for Ruth. The interview is well renowned around the world, as is Emily’s look. It was important to recreate it as closely as possible, whilst still making sure it suited Ruth and her features and so there were some minor adjustments.

made our beautiful wig for Ruth and we made sure to accurately detail Emily’s darker roots and golden tones. cut and shaped to suit Ruth and to bring it to life so beautifully.

As Ruth naturally has piercing blue eyes, Ruth and I played around with some coloured contacts from and found the perfect chocolate brown shade to match Emily. Once the lenses were in, Emily was truly born and the whole look really came together.
