An honest moment 🤍

4 weeks ago, I had a HUGE eczema flare up across both cheeks and my forehead.

To some, it might not seem like a big deal, but for me it was. As someone who works within the skin and beauty industry, I take pride in looking after my skin, so seeing it react the way it did really knocked my confidence 😔

After trying multiple lotions and potions at home, and taking some advice from a dear friend (who truly is a skin guru Caroline Corderoy ), I knew I needed to strip everything back and return to the basics.

I reintroduced a range I use and trust within the salon — Aquatherm by SKEYNDOR UK & paired it with regular Blue Light LED Therapy.

Over the last 4 weeks, I’ve managed to calm the flare up, reduce inflammation and redness and most importantly, restore my skin barrier and overall skin health ✨

These photos were taken throughout that journey, with the final image being taken today.

Working in the beauty industry, there’s often an expectation that we should have “perfect” skin all the time. But the reality is that skin is constantly changing, and it’s always a journey.

I wanted to share mine, because behind every skin professional is a real person who experiences skin concerns too 💙
