being a nail tech is so bitter sweet - i’ve been doing this for 3 years now and it’s definitely one of the best things i’ve ever done for myself. it’s a skill that once you’ve mastered it never leaves you & once it’s second nature to you it definitely is like riding a bike. i feel like i’ve reached that point, but within those 3 years of building my craft to this point. it has been hard - which i feel like isn’t talked about enough. especially in this day of age, social media alludes that everything is perfect and “comes naturally”… any client of mine that has stuck with me this long knows this isn’t the case, but i’ve put the effort in and i’ll continue to do so because i genuinely love it.

however, it isn’t perfect. whenever you try juggle life, being a mum, personal stuff, busy weeks at home then busy weeks at work. it can take a toll on you. like anyone else your nail tech goes to work just like you and can have an off day, sometimes more than others because the burn out can be so intense whenever you’re constantly looking for a social battery that’s never fully charged, bent over inhaling fumes and dust and trying to cater to everyone.

working in the beauty industry in a small town also takes a back-bone, once you don’t please someone that’s potentially 10 other people that are hearing about their experience. everyone’s entitled to their opinion but this is something i feel is also so black and white within this industry. you’re either “good” or “bad” - there’s no grace given to beauty therapists.

doing nails is my passion, i love the art, creativity, meeting some of the best people i’ve ever came across & making you’s feel good.

my basis of clients who have stuck with me through the off days, personal life impacts and oversharing - i appreciate you so much and you’s deserve the best ever honestly.

and anyone that’s supported my small business, as a single mum trying to juggle life and a business, it doesn’t go unnoticed. 🤍
