Woody Wisdom Wednesdays
Sign #3: Slowing Down on Walks

"When I was younger, I used to tear through the forest with so much excitement, chasing after squirrels, following every scent trail my nose could find, and racing ahead just because I could. These days, I take things at a gentler pace, sticking close to the path, taking my time, and stopping to sniff far more often. If your dog has started to slow down on walks, stay closer to you, or seems less eager to explore like they once did, it could be a sign that movement is becoming more of an effort." – Woody 🐾

Changes like this often happen gradually, so they’re easy to miss, especially when we assume it’s just “getting older”.

Have you noticed your dog slowing down on walks or preferring to stop and sniff more than they used to? Tell Woody your dog’s age and when this started happening in the comments 🐾

Meeko’s mischief Mondays

Guess who raided the entire contents of the treats cupboard and now has to go for a run to make up for it!

In other news: I’m slowly building up strength in my thigh with prescribed exercises, gym classes and running intervals on the treadmill. I still think it will be a little while until I’m back out on the trails though

Who is guilty of eating all the treats in your house?

Woody Wisdom Wednesdays
Sign #2: Reluctance to jump into and out of the car 🛻

"When I was younger, I couldn't wait to jump into the car and head off on an adventure. These days, I need a helping hand. If your dog suddenly seems reluctant to jump into the car, hesitates at the boot, or needs lifting when they never used to, it could be a sign they're finding it harder to generate the power, balance, or flexibility needed for the jump." – Woody 🐾

Many owners assume this is just part of getting older, but changes in mobility are often your dog's way of telling you something doesn't feel quite right.

Woody would love to know where your dog/s like to go on their adventures. Share a photo or a comment below! 🚗🐾

Woody Wisdom Wednesday
Sign #1: Difficulty getting on and off the sofa

“When I was younger, I could leap onto the sofa without a second thought. Now I sometimes stop and think about it first. If your dog suddenly hesitates before jumping, needs a boost, or avoids jumping altogether, it could be a sign they’re feeling stiff, sore, or uncomfortable.” – Woody

Woody would love to meet your sofa-loving pups! Share a photo and tell us their age in the comments. 🐾📸

Meeko’s Mischief Mondays

Meeko didn’t want Woody getting all the attention on Wisdom Wednesdays so he has introduced mischief Mondays, a fun and lighthearted way to point out the “naughty” things our dogs get up to.

Did you know Meeko in Native American means little mischief and that he was named after the raccoon in Pocahontas? 🦝

Share in the comments who your dog was named after. ⬇️
