Passionate about hairdressing from an early age Julie opened Reflections in 1982 as a very young stylist. The gents salon is on the second floor.
She spent several years on the competition circuit picking up many trophies and also taught hairdressing at RFDC & Hereford College. Our highly motivated salon team travel to Manchester and London on a regular basis for advanced training sessions with some of the top hair industry icons. This enables us to keep up to date with the ever changing face of British Hairdressing. Andrew Barton 'famous from the 10 years younger series' is a favourite, Royston Blythe, Charles Worthington, Sean Dawson, Simon Shaw, Carolyn Newman, Adam Reed, Helen Ward, are a few of the truly inspirational hairdressers that it has been a pleasure to work along side of. Reflections are able to offer you all aspects of Ladies and Gents cutting and styling block or partial colouring, foiling, bespoke colour, perming, night out, prom and wedding Hair. Complimentary refreshments are available during your visit to us.

Well I certainly hit the ground running today😁 First day back & 12 clients in diary. First sit down & coffee since I arrive this morning.
Great to be back.
Very lucky that I still enjoy what I do.
Well it’s you clients that are lucky, 😁 as I still don’t want to retire 😂😂

Holidays are over and it’s time to stop eating, dancing and sleeping late, back to work.
7pm finish first day 🙃 feet are going to know it.

Happy New Year everyone. Still enjoying time off and I re-open 15th January.
Again a big thank you for your visits last year and my gifts at Christmas.
Should have read the packaging on what I thought was wine & heart shaped white chocolates though, as was luxury guest soaps….. they didn’t taste very nice 🙈
My mouth should have finished frothing by the 15th 😂😂😂😂
2024 in the salon is now over for me.
It’s been another fabulous year that has flown by. A big thank you to all of my clients who I genuinely care about & that care for me. Your visits and your stories are what make my working days a joy.
As usual I am taking a fair time off. The salon will re open on Wednesday 15th January 2025.
Merry Christmas to you & your families and I hope you all have a healthy and a Happy New Year.

To access the salon from the ‘ Factory Shop’ end of Lydney you will need to use the bypass.
