It contains high levels of palmitoleic acid, a fatty acid naturally found in youthful skin but which declines with age. It improves elasticity, and supports skin repair - who doesn’t want that!

Long, long ago, in a previous life I studies for my MSc Oncology.
There was lots of molecular genetics and research into a breast cancer drug.

During on of the lecturers, I realised, right at the end, that our guest lecturers was a wild card, and was prepared to tell us the truth.

Suffice to say by the end of that day, I threw out every bit of skincare, makeup and cleaning product I had.

For 25 years I made my own oils - mixing them, adding essential oils to cover the often-unpleasant aromas of some of the most effective skin-nourishing oils on the planet.

But it was a slog. And actually, you couldn't get some of the lesser available oils back then.

Roll forward to 2017. Still MASSIVELY skeptical, having researched Weleda, Neales Yard, and multiple other products and found them to be lacking.

The Tropic. I smelled, I wanted: suddenly feeling the weight of years of making my own fall away. I was getting older, I was tired and I wanted a LITTLE bit of luxury - nice smalls, not functional.

So I thanked Sally and went off to research. Once a researcher, always a researcher.

2 weeks later, I was converted. Clean, natural, smelled abso-bloody-lutely gorgeous.
