🎓 Graduation Day

Today I finally got to put on the cap and gown and celebrate something that has taken years of hard work, sacrifice and commitment to achieve.

After more than 8 years in the aesthetics industry, countless courses, masterclasses, assessments, practical work, studying alongside running a busy clinic and constantly pushing myself to know more and do better — today I officially graduated with my Level 7 in Aesthetic Practice.

And I’m incredibly proud of what that represents.

I didn’t have to take my education this far to continue working in aesthetics. I chose to.

I chose the extra studying. The assessments. The late nights after clinic. The pressure of balancing education, business and family life.

Because I have always believed that if somebody is placing their face, skin and trust in my hands, I have a responsibility to invest just as seriously in the knowledge behind what I do.

Level 7 is postgraduate level and represents an advanced standard of education in aesthetic practice — covering far more than simply performing treatments. It has strengthened everything from my understanding of anatomy and physiology to patient assessment, treatment planning, complications, safety and evidence-based decision-making.

But today is also about recognising how far I’ve come.

From starting out in this industry over 8 years ago, continually reinvesting in my education and building my clinic from the ground up, to standing here today as a Level 7 Qualified Aesthetic Practitioner.

There have been plenty of moments behind the scenes that nobody sees — long days, late nights, sacrifices and times when juggling everything felt almost impossible.

But this photograph represents every single one of them.

Another milestone reached, another standard raised, and still so much more I want to achieve.

Most importantly, I’ll continue doing what I have always done — putting my patients first and never becoming complacent with the responsibility that comes with this industry.

I don’t normally share what happens behind the scenes in clinic. But after August, I think this is important.

In August alone, I’ve had four women come to me concerned about complications following treatments carried out elsewhere.

No naming. No shaming. And definitely no trying to scare anyone away from treatments — complications are uncommon and there is risk with any aesthetic or laser procedure.

But it does highlight why who you choose matters.

One client came to me with a laser burn after being advised to simply take antihistamines.

Another had treatment around her mouth and was left unable to smile properly or show her teeth — something I knew meant so much to her. She’d gone elsewhere to save around £20.

Another came to me concerned about nose filler — already a higher-risk area where anatomy knowledge and complication management are incredibly important.

And another had treatment to her lower face that affected her smile so significantly she told me she felt as though she’d had a stroke.

These aren’t the things you normally see on Instagram.
