Happy Christmas.
Over a year on and I'm still here.
Christie Macclesfield have not only kept me going but said that as I've got through the first year there's every chance I will keep going for a wee while longer.
I now live with cancer but that's the important thing... I live.

I wish all of you and your families a happy and above all a healthy Christmas and New Year.

It's 12 months since I received my new diagnosis of secondary breast cancer. The fact that I can say this is a miracle in itself from the original prognosis where Christmas was a lofty ambition.
Thanks to Christie Macclesfield I'm still here.. not quite as fit or with as much hair as I used to have be here just the same. I still do 8 hours at Boots so if you're in town on a Wed or Thursday morning do pop in and say hello.
As I sit here on this wonderful summers day it's hard not to be sentimental.
There are times I have to remind myself to be grateful as " poor me" does creep it's way into my head but I have more time to sit and look at the garden and plan and potter. I will have time to try something a bit different. ( may do a day course at the college) All in all and on the whole I'm OK.
Thankyou all again for your support over the decades and if you get the opportunity to support either The Christie or East Cheshire Hospice as both places are worth their weight in gold to those of us who are literally kept alive by them.

It is with great sadness that I have to announce the sudden, immediate and permanent closure of my salon.

Unfortunately cancer has returned and with it more treatment( I hope) so the best thing for me is the above.
I have been a beauty therapist since 1981 and have learnt as much from my clients about life,love,art and everything as I have taught about skin,nails and hair growth.
Some clients have been with me since more or less the beginning and we've been through a lot together. I am on 3rd generations with some families and that's a privilege.
I would like to extend my deep,deep gratitude for your patronage,loyalty but much much more... your friendship. Amongst the nail varnish and massage oils have been deep secrets, confessions,anger ,loss,birth, weddings,divorces,holidays and mostly laughter and smiles ( some times pant wetting laughter as we got older!!)
This has been the biggest part of my life and I shall miss it and you dreadfully but it's the right thing for me to stop, to concentrate on my health for whatever time is left to me and to get some things off my bucket list.

Over the years I've seen clients come and go and have loved meeting all of those people. To my core who are with me now a huge Thankyou and know you are treasured .

Don't want you to get a parking fine as I suspect the enforcement officers will be a bit keen.

We have some very exciting news to share with you...
In his birthday honours list King Charles III awarded our founder Eve Taylor, Dame Commander of the British Empire for her services to business.
This follows her Order of the British Empire honour that she received for services to aromatherapy and the skin care profession in 2008.
More details will be shared next week.

Prices.

As from April 1st there will be an increase in price for most treatments.
I have absorbed stock costs over the last couple of years but I find its no longer sustainable to do so especially as my utilities contract is at an end and the increase is significant.

The new price list will be available from the last week of March.
