Has anyone else ever been subject to people always having a say in how YOU live your life? 😅
Maybe it’s just a natural thing as humans to compare, but just because someone is doing life differently to you, it doesn’t mean they aren’t enjoying it.
I am so blessed to have a life filled with health, joy, purpose, travel, peace and so much more… because of my life choices I have made.
But yes, let’s not forget that your health is absolutely your wealth. ❤️
Thinking about metobolic health (one of the top health concerns in our region!!)
Yes obviously health habits have to fit into your real life.
You don’t need to overhaul your whole routine. Pick one small thing you can actually stick with, then build from there. If you’re short on time, look for a little space to win back: like cut down on scrolling (you could literally get hours back), cook double portions for another night, prep a few basics while the dinner’s on, or get a walk in while you’re on a work call.
All ideas welcome for one thing that could make looking after your health feel easier this week⬇️
Let’s remove some self blame! Sometimes it’s not just a lack of willpower. 🫣 Sleep helps regulate the signals involved in hunger and fullness, and when we’re tired, it can be harder to make the choices that support steady energy and metabolic health.
Of course restless night doesn’t undo your progress, and good sleep isn’t always something we can control. But it is one part of the bigger picture, alongside nourishing food, movement, stress and the routines that help us feel our best.
So if you’re struggling with cravings, it may be worth looking at how well you’ve been sleeping, as well as what’s on your plate.
Save this as a reminder that caring for your health includes making room for rest, too. 🤍
Metabolic health, part one.
We talk about weight all the time, as if it tells us everything about someone’s health. It doesn’t.
And “just eat less” leaves out too much! What we eat matters, but so do the food choices around us, the time and money we have, our sleep, movement, muscle and stress.
In my opinion (and from the mentioned study), health advice needs to look beyond willpower and a number of calories.
Metabolic health is about what’s happening inside the body, not simply what somebody looks like.
What do you find hardest when you’re trying to eat well consistently: time, cost, cravings, family life, confusion, or energy?

Metabolic Health Part 1. Next part of the video will be posted tomorrow.
Guys we talk about weight constantly in modern society, but I think we need to focus more on what is happening underneath all that. After all the studies do tell us what’s going on even on a local level, health wise.
I think based on the study I talked about, the usual advice of “just eat less” is a little too simplistic (and unpleasant!) we need to focus on prioritising nutrients over calories. Not only are you going to be happier, feel better, but your metabolic health will massively improve.
Our food environment matters. As well as muscle, sleep, movement, and stress. So can we remember that metabolic health is about far more than what somebody looks like?
What do you personally find hardest when trying to eat well consistently. Is it your time, cost, cravings, family, confusion or energy?
