Do you actually know what your lash lift solution is doing to the lashes? Do you know when to use which?

Not all lifting lotions work the same — and what’s inside really matters.

If your formula uses TGA (Thioglycolic Acid) and you’re stretching lashes root to tip (like in Korean lifts), you might be:
Over-processing
Flooding the bonds
Weakening the lash structure more than you realise

➡️➡️for an easy lesson

What disulfide bonds are, why TGA can be too harsh, and how cysteamine changes the game.

Are you using a TGA-based solution right now? Have you tried cysteamine yet? I use both dependent on what type of lift I am doing, lash porosity and clients overall lash health… no to TGA for Korean Lash lifts… what are your thoughts?

What are your thoughts on this is?

Why NOT to use TGA in Korean Lash Lifts?
👇

When doing a Korean lash lift you are ‘stretching’ the lashes from the roots to tips of the lashes. This creates tension requiring a gentle solution 💕 Cyestamine.
📛 TGA (Thioglycolic Acid) is not ideal for Korean Lash Lifts as it has:
– 🚫 High pH = fast swelling
– 🚫 Floods all disulfide (S-S) bonds
– 🚫 Overprocessing = frizz + brittleness
– 🚫 Difficult to control

Cysteamine is:
pH 7–8 = No aggressive swelling
Selectively breaks only necessary bonds
Lifts gently and easier to control.
Remember over processing can occur with both TGA and Cyestamine 🤗

I use both depending on clients lashes and whether I do a classic lift or Korean TGA.
