📚 LITTLE STEPS LEARNING — 6-WEEK READING PROGRAMME ❤️

Designed for children who need a little extra support with their reading — whether they’re just starting out, developing their skills, or simply lacking confidence.

Over six weeks, each child will work at their own pace and level, using their favourite book(s) wherever possible. Together, we’ll work on:

🔤 Phonics & decoding – recognising sounds and blending words

📖 Reading fluency – becoming smoother and more confident when reading aloud

🧠 Comprehension – understanding and talking about what they’ve read

❤️ Confidence & enjoyment – making reading feel positive, fun and achievable

What happens during a session?

Each 30-minute session is relaxed, fun and child-led, with a mixture of reading together, questions and comprehension activities, games and some independent reading too.

There’s no pressure and no rushing. The aim is simply to help your child take small, achievable steps each week and feel proud of their progress.

👧👦 Perfect for pre-schoolers through to 9-year-olds

Sometimes children simply need a little more time, patience and one-to-one encouragement to help everything click.

Filling in those little gaps can make a huge difference to a child’s confidence — and when they feel more confident, reading can become something they enjoy rather than something they worry about.
