Coloured inks respond differently to laser treatment. ❤️
During tattoo removal, certain pigments, such as red, may require different wavelengths and can respond more gradually than darker areas.
You may notice some parts fading sooner than others — this is a normal part of the process.

Wondering how long a patch test takes?
Only a few minutes.
During your consultation, your skin, medical history and treatment goals are assessed. A small test area is then treated to monitor how your skin responds before any full session is scheduled.
This forms part of the pre-treatment protocol required prior to starting treatment.

The 'before' image shows the tattoo as it appeared when my client first attended, following an unsatisfactory healing outcome. The tattoo was left to fully settle before any laser treatment took place.

Staying hydrated and supporting your body with key nutrients helps skin health and recovery between treatments. Vitamins such as C and E can aid in skin repair and protection. 💛

Numbing cream is often asked about before tattoo removal. In most cases, it only affects the surface of the skin, while tattoo ink sits much deeper in the dermis. It may offer mild comfort but doesn’t fully block the sensation caused by the laser.
Some numbing creams can also affect circulation, which is why I don’t always recommend them.
Comfort is always discussed beforehand, and the area is cooled throughout treatment to keep discomfort to a minimum.
