The salon closes today 4pm and reopens Thursday 13th June for a much needed break with my family.

Any messages about appointments that need changing / making will be kept unread from clients so I don’t lose them!

POLITE NOTICE

I am trying to create a safe place for everyone in the salon. Working solo means I have a more private approach with clients. And I have a lot of clients come who not just have there hair cut but to offload and ask advice. It’s come to my attention that if you don’t have an appointment and you walk in it throws off my clients ability to talk in confidence.
With this can I please ask you come to your appointment as close to on time as you can.

I also ask that if you come to the salon early and I’m on my break please respect my time and wait till your appointment. So I can reply to clients , eat my food , let the dog out etc
If I am not in the salon before your appointment I can guarantee I will be back on time, I’m
Either getting fresh air , having a p*e or walking the dog !

Merry Christmas to all my clients . I appreciate all of you and can’t thank you enough for your loyalty. Iv met some amazing people in 19 years here! And Iv even met clients who have become family. I love my job thank you all again.

PRICE 🥶 FREEZE

While the cost of living is increasing dramatically week by week, petrol , heating , gas, water , electricity and food. Hair Color etc !

I am NOT increasing my salon price list .
I am doing a price promise that your hair will stay the same price until at least JUNE even though my business costs have risen as well as childcare costs and my own home life.

I have not had a price increase for over 5 years and I’m still committed to offering my services at a low cost in these difficult times

🎉🎉HAPPY 17th BIRTHDAY TABU HAIR 🎉🎉
On the 3rd of July 2005 less than 20 years old I opened the door to the public to cut hair.
I remember it like yesterday. The fresh smell of paint the newly sanded floors and the feeling of anxiety and uncertainty of the what ifs!
Well! Iv never ever looked back or regretted it for one minute. My grandma once said to me “ if you work hard that little shop will be a little gold mine “ I never actually knew what she meant. I do now and I guess I followed in hers and my mums footsteps ! However what I will say is without my amazing clients who have not only become friends , a lot of you are like family to me , I’d not be here without any of you! The loyalty the support has been incredible.
Not only has the salon clientele grown to the point I often start 6am finish 9 pm , Iv also grown and them
4 walls have witnessed so much! It’s seen me come out gay , seen me married , divorced , break ups and make ups ! 4 years of IVF a loss of a baby and the birth of 2 babies … oh and another marriage 🤣😂
I really can’t thank you all enough because it’s not alwys been easy running a salon , it’s had challenging times . This last 18 months with covid I’m very lucky to still be walking in the salon still having a client base .
Thank you to every single person who’s walked through my door , thank you to everyone who pulls foils, sweeps up brings me food ! And thanks for the ones who have held me when Iv been at breaking point watching me grow from a 20 year old to the woman I am today! I’m still a gob sh*te ! . And thank you mum for been my lioness who gave me the skills , the business head and the support . And thank you to everyone who believed in me !
Here’s to maybe another 10 ! Then I’m
