There are some weddings that feel just that little bit more special… and yesterday was definitely one of them. 🤍

I had the absolute pleasure of creating the beautiful bridal hairstyle for my gorgeous bride, Lauren. It was such a lovely full-circle moment, having grown up together through both primary and secondary school. Even more special was getting to style the hair for her four bridesmaids, who I also went to school with. It was such a wonderful morning filled with laughter, memories and lots of catching up!

Lauren chose the most elegant textured updo, featuring softly twisted sides flowing into an effortless, undone bun. We finished the look with the most stunning porcelain floral hair accessories by Lace & Favour , adding the perfect romantic touch. ✨

A few weeks before the wedding, I had the pleasure of colouring Lauren’s hair, and for her big day we added a few Milk & Blush Hair Extensions extensions to give extra fullness and dimension through the twists and bun. The finished look was everything we’d envisioned—soft, timeless and beautifully bridal.

It was also wonderful to work alongside the incredibly talented Anastasia | Herefordshire Bridal makeup artist & 𝒦 𝒾 𝓇 𝓈 𝓉 𝓎 on makeup, who absolutely smashed it as always. The girls looked stunning! I can’t wait to see the gorgeous images from Hereford & Cotswolds Wedding Photographer on photography, and it was lovely meeting Jenessa | Wedding Florist for the first time, whose floral designs were simply breathtaking. The flowers looked incredible displayed on the lawn and brought everything together perfectly. 🌸

A beautiful updo isn’t just about the finished look… it’s all about the foundations.

🤍 Step 1: Create a secure base.
Every long-lasting updo starts with a strong, structured base. This is what gives the style its support, keeps it feeling secure and ensures it lasts from your morning preparations right through to the dance floor.

🤍 Step 2: Build soft, workable curls.
Once the foundation is in place, I create soft curls that can be gently manipulated into the finished design. This allows me to achieve that effortless, romantic texture while still keeping the style secure.

🤍 Step 3: Finish with soft face-framing pieces.
The final details make all the difference. Soft tendrils around the face add movement and create a timeless, elegant finish.

✨ Products matter too.
For this look I used a selection of my favourite professional Moroccanoil products:
• Texture Dry Spray – for long-lasting texture, grip and a flexible finish.
• Smoothing Lotion – to create sleek sides and tame any flyaways.
• Strong Hold Hairspray – to lock everything in place.
• Glimmer Shine Spray – for that final touch of healthy, glossy shine.

The end result? A style that looks soft and effortless, but is carefully built to stay in place all day long. 🤍
