Story Time ...Lets get a cuppa. Its a long one.☕️
Many moons ago just right before Covid. I sat my full day Exam in Beauty in Leeds whilst doing my nail unit part of the exam. The assessor was stood right behind me within close proximity as I was applying Red Polish onto my model. Within this time frame. I did not flinch, breathe & had my eyes wide open & had sweat dripping down the side of my face. 😂 Big Sigh of relief after. Lol Completed with a Pass. Handed my Theory folder in. Sat my exams & went back home.

Little did Ino on the Wednesday of half term. Boris Johnson was locking us all down in our houses. 😅 Completed my Massage side Theory & Practical from home & partial college for Practical. Left and passed my course with little to no confidence. Along the way. I did everything I could to get a job within the Industry. Go back to college. Get the adequate training again. It was like stop...start...stop. And I just wanted to get my new career out on the road & working alongside my normal job. I have put so much time effort & I am so passionate about doing Nails & doing Beauty treatments.

Motto of the story. If it's one thing I learnt. I never gave up & just kept going even Covid wasn't going to stop me. I would love for you to to let me join you & do your nails. It means the absolute world to me. 🌎❤️ 🫠🙂🫶

The Layers of the Skin

Skin is a communicator.The skin is the largest organ of the body. Here are some key factors:

The Epidermis protects you, it keeps out germs, dirt and harmful substances & prevents water loss. It is the top layer of the skin, It protects your body, It makes new skin cells & It helps give your skin its color. Contains pigment (melanin) Special cells produce melanin, which gives your skin its color and helps protect you from the sun.

The dermis is the layer underneath the Epidermis, its much thicker, contains blood vessels, nerves so you can feel, touch, pain, heat & coldness. It also includes Sweat glands & Hair roots. Think of it like a strong structure & wiring inside a wall. It supports everything & keeps it working.

The subcutaneous layer is the bottom layer of your skin. Underneath the Dermis. It's made up of mostly fat, connective tissues & larger blood vessels. The fat acts like insulation — like wearing a warm jacket. It stores fat that your body can use for energy later. It works like a cushion, protecting your muscles and bones if you bump into something. It helps connect your skin to the muscles underneath.
