The Beaulieu Jacket …. made from three separate pieces of vintage cotton-canvas furnishing fabric — a mid-century print called Beaulieu by Story Fabrics of London.

Originally intended for curtains, it features bold florals and ornate scrolls on a rich red ground. I’ve done my best to pattern match across seams and panels, working with the fabric’s natural layout and scale.

A friend asked if I could make her a small crossbody bag to store keys and mobile phone whist on her daily walk.

I came up with this cute oilcloth number with zipped pocket, magnetic fastener, waterproof lining and fully adjustable/detachable shoulder strap.
