Wondering what FM fragrances are? Are they fakes? Is the quality inferior? The answer is NO!
FM fragrances come from a factory in Germany who are market leaders, with a share of over 80%, making them the largest perfume producers in the world.
The Designer only owns their bottle design, brand name and of course the distinctive logo. FM purchases the same fragrance essence from the same fragrance families and gives it a number in a plain no frills bottle.
Is this legal? The answer is YES! You cannot copyright a Perfume, as you cannot see it and everyone has a different opinion on how they smell. However you can copyright a Designer name and brand.
FM designs their own bottles and packaging and give their fragrance a number.
What are the differences?
Fm uses 20% pure oil to be classified as Eau de Parfum. Designers use around 8-16% oil making them Eau de Toilette. This is where a very slight differentiation in smell may occur as ours tends to be stronger.
