Two short months ago tonight, Manchester was hit with the worst terrorist attack the country had ever seen. 22 people died as a result with many more being injured. As a mark of respect we created Cottonopolis, a fragrance for Manchester to help raise £1000 for the “we love Manchester “ charity. When I walked home, late on Monday 22nd May I took a detour from my usual route through Victoria Station and missed the bombing by 30 minutes. I had missed the IRA bombing, walking past the very post box where the van was left, by an hour! Twice my city has been bombed and I have just missed it and am very grateful for that. After this last one, the following morning I felt so emotional, just someone saying, "you OK!" had me filling up. I couldn't function, I couldn't concentrate. With the lost of life and so many injuries, what can you do? How do you show you care? How do you say to the people who lost loved ones...I'm sorry you are going through this?In 2 days time it will be a month to the day. Its been a time of wanting to help and lots have and are. Its now time, after weeks of hard work, organising planning, designing and creating, that I too can show I care. Its not much what I am doing and I trust it will help in some small way.
