As we age, it’s completely normal to lose volume, definition & support. Fine lines can become more noticeable, lipstick starts to bleed & the lips gradually appear smaller.

For this lovely patient, we used just 1ml of dermal filler to restore soft volume, redefine the borders & soften the surrounding perioral lines.

The aim was never to create bigger lips, it was simply to restore what had naturally been lost over time whilst maintaining a beautifully natural side profile.

This lovely patient, in her mid-30s, came to see me for her very first dermal filler treatment.

She has taken exceptional care of her skin over the years, but had started to notice the earliest signs of volume loss around the nasolabial folds & a subtle loss of definition through the lower face. Rather than waiting until these changes became more pronounced, she wanted to address them early with a very natural, preventative approach.

Using a cannula technique, I carefully restored soft support around the nasolabial folds & lower jaw to reinstate structure & definition without creating an obvious or overfilled appearance.

One of the most common concerns I hear in clinic is dissatisfaction with jawlines. For many people, this becomes most noticeable in photographs or from a slight side profile, where the lower face can begin to lose its crisp definition.

The key isn’t adding lots of filler. It’s placing the right amount, in the right areas. Too much product along the jawline can widen the face when viewed from the front, so precision & restraint are essential to achieve a result that looks balanced from every angle.

Treatment itself is surprisingly comfortable thanks to the cannula technique, with minimal downtime & in many cases results offer excellent longevity.

This lady, the mum of one of my existing patients, came to see me having never had aesthetic treatment before. Her main concern? The lower face. Following a thorough consultation, I explained that the best result would be achieved gradually over a minimum of two treatment sessions rather than trying to do everything at once.

Treatments were performed in February & May, allowing time for the filler to settle, tissues to adapt & a strong foundation of structural support to be established before further refinement.

One of the biggest misconceptions about dermal filler is that results like this can be achieved in a single appointment. In reality, attempting to create this level of rejuvenation in one sitting would often overload the tissues & increase the risk of an unnatural outcome. Following an incredible weight loss journey & over two years away from aesthetic treatments, this patient came to see me feeling unhappy with the changes she had noticed in her face. Like many people following significant weight loss, she had experienced facial volume loss, changes in facial proportions & a more tired appearance.

Following a thorough consultation, we created a bespoke treatment plan focused on restoring support, balance & natural facial harmony. From the outset, I explained that this would be a process, not an overnight transformation.

One of the biggest misconceptions surrounding dermal filler is that more treatment equals a better result.
