This December marks 10 years since I completed my initial aesthetics training & next year HLM Aesthetics celebrates its 10th birthday… something I’m incredibly proud of.

As an Advanced Medical Aesthetic Practitioner, Independent Nurse Prescriber & Midwife, my approach has always been about so much more than treatments alone. I believe in taking the time to truly understand each person sitting in front of me, creating bespoke treatment plans, providing honest guidance & delivering natural results that help my patients look & feel like the best version of themselves.

Alongside continually investing in my personal & professional development, I recently completed my Master’s Degree… a milestone after years of balancing study, running HLM Aesthetics, multiple professional roles & everything else life brings!

Over the years, I’ve built a business that reflects the values most important to me: safety, integrity, education & patient-centred care.

Following an incredible weight loss journey & over two years away from aesthetic treatments, this patient came to see me feeling unhappy with the changes she had noticed in her face. Like many people following significant weight loss, she had experienced facial volume loss, changes in facial proportions & a more tired appearance.

Following a thorough consultation, we created a bespoke treatment plan focused on restoring support, balance & natural facial harmony. From the outset, I explained that this would be a process, not an overnight transformation.

One of the biggest misconceptions surrounding dermal filler is that more treatment equals a better result. In reality, gradual treatment allows tissues to adapt naturally, treatments to settle appropriately & helps avoid the overfilled, puffy or migrated appearance that can occur when too much product is placed too quickly.

Over 12 months, treatments included:

Not all lip filler treatments are designed to add volume 👄✨

This beautiful result was created using a very small amount of filler, strategically placed to enhance the cupid’s bow, improve definition & subtly balance a small amount of natural asymmetry.

The goal wasn’t bigger lips. The goal was better lips.

This transformation is a beautiful example of what a full course of polynucleotides can achieve when it comes to improving skin quality, elasticity & overall texture.

This patient completed a course of 3 treatments, starting in January (first photograph), with these recent results shown 4+ weeks after the final session, allowing time for full collagen stimulation & tissue regeneration to take place.

It’s important to highlight that alongside treatment, this patient has also been on a significant weight loss journey. While weight loss will naturally reduce volume, it can often leave behind skin laxity, particularly in areas like the neck.
