✨ Why don't I simply file over your nail plate to remove the cuticle?

Because your natural nails are precious.

A common shortcut in the industry is to use an abrasive file or e-file over the nail plate to remove cuticle quickly. While this can save time, if too much of the nail surface is removed, it also removes healthy nail tissue—not just the non-living cuticle.

Unlike skin, the nail plate can't repair itself. Once healthy layers of nail have been filed away, the damage remains until that part of the nail has completely grown out. Over time, repeated over-filing can leave nails thinner, weaker and more sensitive, making them more prone to bending, peeling and breakage.

That's why I take a different approach.

I soften the non-living cuticle first, then gently lift and remove it with a manual cuticle pusher before refining the surface with an extra-refined 180 grit soft file. This removes only what's needed while preserving as much of your healthy natural nail as possible.

Yes, it takes longer.

But I don't rush my appointments.

Every client has my full attention on a one-to-one basis, because I believe healthy, long-lasting nails are built on patience and precision—not speed.

This is the exact philosophy I follow whether I'm working with my salon clients, backstage at New York Fashion Week, on photo shoots or with celebrity clients.

The techniques may take more time, but your natural nails deserve that time.

When you're choosing a lash technician, it's easy to focus on the photos. Beautiful lashes are important—but what's happening underneath is even more important.

Every lash extension I apply is attached to just one natural lash.

This is called correct isolation, and it's one of the most important parts of a safe lash treatment.
If multiple natural lashes are accidentally glued together, they can't grow independently. As your natural lashes grow at different rates, this can cause pulling, discomfort, poor retention and, over time, unnecessary damage to your natural lashes.

But that's not the only thing I consider...
Before I apply a single extension, I carefully assess your natural lashes and choose the correct: ✨ Length ✨ Diameter ✨ Weight
Your lash extensions should be suitable for your natural lashes—not simply the longest, darkest or fullest set possible.

Extensions that are too heavy or too long can overload the natural lash, leading to premature shedding, weakened lashes and long-term damage.

Perfect isolation takes time, patience and skill.
If you're looking for the quickest appointment or the cheapest set of lashes, I'm probably not the lash technician for you.

I don't rush my appointments, and I don't work on a conveyor belt.
