These are just some of the questions I always ask when someone wants to go short.
Do you have inspo pictures?
Is your hair naturally like this?
What are you expecting day to day?
Because short hair isn’t just about the cut.
It’s about how it’s going to live after they leave the salon.
Get this part right, and everything else falls into place.
This is exactly the kind of thinking I’m breaking down in something I’m building behind the scenes.

Be honest…
Do you avoid short hair clients?
Or hope they change their mind when they sit down.
It’s not a confidence issue.
It’s a clarity issue.
Most stylists haven’t been shown how to actually approach short hair properly, so it ends up feeling like guesswork.
But it doesn’t have to feel like that.
I’m building something behind the scenes that breaks it down properly.

The moment short hair finally clicked for me wasn’t about learning another technique.
It was understanding shape.
Where the weight should sit.
How the hair naturally falls.
What the head is actually telling you.
Once that makes sense, everything changes.
Short hair stops feeling hit and miss
and starts feeling controlled.
I’m building something behind the scenes that breaks this down properly.

A student messaged me the day after my course to say she’d had a short hair client in and finally felt confident.
That one message meant everything.
Because I still remember being 14, asking for short hair and feeling the panic from the stylist before she even picked up the scissors. I left feeling embarrassed, like wanting short hair was somehow wrong.
I never forgot that.
It’s the reason I became obsessed with short hair. Figuring out what actually makes it work so clients don’t leave feeling like that… and stylists don’t feel like they’re guessing their way through it.
Because that gap is still there. I hear it all the time.
Something is coming that’s going to change that.
If short hair is something you want to feel more confident with DM me “waitlist”.
Dense hair.
Frizzy texture.
Most people think that means no to short hair.
It doesn’t.
It just means the cut has to be right.
Weight in the right places.
Support where it’s needed.
Shape that works with the hair, not against it.
This is exactly the kind of thing I’m breaking down in my upcoming short hair course.
Waitlist is now open.
