I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you, for all the wonderful kind words and gifts we have received over the past few weeks. Many of you have moved the girls and I to tears ❤️

Shutting the doors to the salon for the last time yesterday was emotional, and we shall miss you all dearly.

Time to put my feet up for a well earned rest, plan a holiday and just maybe write that book.😉

The news is out so I guess it’s time to make it formal (and very scarily real). Some of you will have seen that I have put the building up for sale, not much gets past you lovely lot - I think I had the first phone call an hour after it went onto Right Move!

It’s with mixed emotions that I’m letting you know that I will be retiring on the 29th March and the business will close. I say the business, but this has been more like a family and a group of friends (who coincidentally pay us to see to their varied and gorgeous locks of hair).

Lady Care has meant so much to me for the 50 years we have been trading and some of you have been with us for that whole period of time – that’s a lot of coffee and Hello magazines!

Whilst it’s definitely the right time to hang up the cutting capes, stash the scissors and colour charts its nonetheless an emotional time. Me and the team will miss all of you immensely, we class you as friends – friends that we have shared good times and bad with. We’ve had a lot of laughs over the years and as I’ve so often said I could write a book about the goings on in Urmston!

So, to sign off I just want to say a heartfelt thank you to all our clients, past and present, I appreciate your friendship and custom more than you’ll ever know. The same goes for my wonderful team over the years, many of you have become firm personal friends and have been adopted daughters to me. I’m sure there will be even more tears shed by Abbey, Dawn, and myself over the next couple of months – and girls I just want to say that you have both been amazing since I shared my news with you and that means the world to me.

I’ll have a think about how we might mark the occasion and go out with a bang over the coming weeks.
