Why a consultation matters before certain treatments 💉

Botulinum Toxin (B*tox) and dissolving injections are Prescription Only Medicines. That means it’s a legal requirement for me to properly assess you before I can prescribe or treat. It’s also illegal for people based in the Uk to advertise these medications on social media - so you won’t see me doing that!

A consultation is where I check your medical history, look at your skin and anatomy, and make sure the treatment you want is actually the right one for you. Sometimes that means saying “not this” or “not yet.”

If a clinic skips this step, that’s a red flag — not a shortcut.
